“Great Historic Hotel”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

Overall the hotel was great. It was in a great location close enough that it was a quick walk to a lot of attractions: the French Quarter, the Riverwalk outlets and it provided easy access to the streetcars and busses. The staff was helpful (the ac unit in our room was broken and the hotel switched us to a new room immediately) and friendly. Both rooms that we occupied were clean and the black marble bathrooms were small but beautiful. My only complaint about our stay was the wait for the elevator (only one elevator was working). This was annoying but not a deal breaker. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a quiet relaxing stay in New Orleans.

I'll start out by giving the front desk staff a rating of 5!! Came in for two nights to celebrate a 50th birthday. Checked in early (awesome) cake and champagne courtesy of the hotel (awesome) room on 6th floor not yet remodeled..........................terrible. Toilet ran all night, air conditioning LOUD, fixtures and bathroom absolutely filthy. Next tell the management...... they move us to a smaller room, just as filthy.. Complained once again, brought the manager up to SHOW him the filth...................said he would take care of it personally. To say the least the next room, just as filthy.

It's situated in the CBD area, only a short walk from the French Quarter and to the trolleys that go to the Garden District. It was easy to do our whole 4 night trip on foot. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous with charming antique furniture. The bed was amazing. There is a pool and a hot tub on the roof! They have a fun little tradition of serving complimentary PB&J sandwiches and hot chocolate every night from 10-11pm. We made some friends in the foyer during these times.

Highly recommended.

We were worried that this may be too far from the French Quarter for us to enjoy it. However, it was really within walking distance to everything we wanted to do including mother's, cafe du monde, st patric's church, the riverboat cruises on the water, and of course all the great action in the French Quarter inluding Pat O'brien's. So if you are planning on walking most of the time anyway, this works fine.

This hotel has striking curb appeal, especially if you arrive at night. Very romanesque with colums and statues out front. We arrived late, and were greeted with warmth, delicious pb &j sandwiches and cocoa at 10pm and had great evening chats relaxing in the large parlor room.

The only downside to our hotel was that there was only vallet parking ($39/night) and only one elevator working at the time. We also had a bit of a loud shower head in our bath. However, we were so impressed with the beauty of the hotel, and all the little extra touches that made us feel special.

We'd definitely come back again.

My grandson and I stayed at this hotel on July 23 and enjoyed the room and staff very much. The room was BEAUTIFUL. I half expected the room to have a musty smell since it is 107 years old, but not at all. The beds were very comfortable and we slept so well after our day of touring.. The whole staff was very gracious and helpful. The only negative thing I can say is that the room service was much more expensive than I have seen at other like hotels. I would not recommend it, but the hotel itself I would recommend to anyone, I will definitely stay again on my next trip to New Orleans. Just be aware that the parking at the hotel is $40.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 507...It is beautiful and comfortable but right next to the elevators. We were...

I recently stayed at Le Pavillon Hotel & took my daughter to the JayZ & Beyoncé concert @ the superdome, 6 blocks away. We were pleasantly surprised with the hospitality, shouts out to Antonio & Kelly. We really enjoyed the rooftop pool area and the awesome service from all of the staff. Beautiful hotel and loved the complimentary pbj snacks and the cookies, also thought the slippers and robes were a nice plus; because my daughter forgot to bring hers. I spent more time in the hotel than I ever have on any vacation will definitely be returning very soon.

Room Tip: we were on the 7th floor and I felt it was very quite considering there were several people there fo...
