My husband travels a lot for work. He had been gone for nearly 2 weeks and surprised me with tickets to fly out to New Orleans for the last 3 days of his trip. I flew out and met up with him and his 2 employees. We all agreed....This hotel is so nice! The rooms were great. I could barely hear the people next door which is unusual for an older hotel. The atmosphere was lovely. The rooftop pool area is awesome (too bad it rained most of the time I was there!) But we did get some great pictures. The location was good and within walking distance to the French Quater, restaurants and sightseeing. The only downside there is if you have mobility issues or other physical needs, it is a bit of a haul to certain areas. However, we enjoyed these walks after our large dinners and a few hand grenades on Bourbon St! HA HA I didn't interract with the staff too much but when I did they were quite friendly. The peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at night was a great touch and it hit the spot after coming back from the night Ghost Tour on Sunday evening. I mentioned the rain earlier but it wasn't too much of a problem because the hotel provided us with large umbrellas to take with us on our outings. You can even keep them (for a fee). My only negative was the low water pressure in the shower and super hot water in the sink. A very small issue in my opinion. This was my first trip to The Big Easy and I will return and stay Le Pavillion.More
