“service charm style at Le Pavillion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2005

We just returned from two 2-day stays at Le Pavillion. What a lovely property! The lobby and downstairs is quite grand but elegant, and the rooftop pool is just stunning (fitness center is small, but nice, as well). There is obviously quite a bit of attention to detail here.
The service was great--we gave the concierge staff a workout and they did a fine job for us, following up on a number of requests. The room (we had a deluxe room both times, on different floors, one w/ king, one w/ 2 queens) is quite nice. I particularly liked the painted ceiling (subtle, but charming). The bathrooms are small but very well-appointed, my only quibble being no place to hang the towel except a hook on the back of the door.
During summer, this was excellent price for value as well. We found the location to be great for both the FQ and the warehouse district--you can get to both easily from the hotel.

On our recent trip to New Orleans, we had decided to stay at the Le Pavillion Hotel. One of the first things that struck me was the professionalism and friendliness of the ENTIRE hotel staff. If you made eye contact they would smile, and greet you. They had a sense of pride about their hotel and were very quick to tell all kinds of information and stories about it. Whatever our needs were they were quickly met. The rooms were very well furnished, and the bathrooms with marble floors and sinks made you think you were in a palace. The rooms while very nice and comfortable, were a bit small, but so are many other comparable hotels. I was able to use the high speed internet with no problems at all.
We didn't like some of the resturants we went to in town, so one night we had ordered room service. The food was better than some of the resturants on Bourbon street, and the price was cheaper, so we had room service for the rest of our time there. I very stongly recommend ordering breakfast.
This was our second trip to New Orleans, our first stay was at the Ritz. I can honestly say that our experiance at the Le Pavillion was comparable to that of the Ritz. The Le Pavillion is way more economical than the Ritz, making it more appealing and a better bargin than the Ritz.

I loved the Le Pavillion. Even now, I would give anything to be there. The hotel is beautiful, the rooftop pool is fantastic and the workout facilities were great. They even supplied free bottles of water and fruit in the workout room. We had a standard room and it was beautiful. Slightly small, but beautiful. Every member of the staff greeted us as we past by them. Do Not Miss the PB&J! You will regret it. Also, ask for the turndown service. The cookies they leave on your pillow are unbelievable. The hotel was close to the French Quarter and close to the Riverfront area.

We just returned last night from NO. We spent three nights here. It was so beautiful on the inside! The service was excellent as well. It is a small walk to the French Quarter, but it isn't far, although after about 10:00 we took a cab back.
