My husband and I stayed at the Omni Royal New Orleans the weekend before Mardi Gras. The hotel was beautifully maintained and the location was perfect - just close enough (but not too close) to Bourbon Street. Our room was tiny (esp the bathroom) but we knew that when we booked it. The quality of the room was very high and we had no issues. It was an incredibly comfortable bed and the room was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was very enjoyable. The room was very clean, and the decor was modern. The fitness center was in good working order, and had all the necessary equipment. There's also a very neat rooftop pool and observation deck that provided a nice view of the French Quarter. I'd stay again, if given the opportunity.

The best part of the Omni on Royal Street is its location. The room was extremely small and the bathroom was very, very small, but we were hardly in the room because we were too busy exploring the French Quarter.

Wonderful hotel and excellent location in the French Quarter. Stayed here 4 years ago. Booked a Petite Room knowing it would be small (hoped to upgrade if it was too small). Although small it was nicely furnished and had all the luxury amenities. Queen bed was very comfortable. We were fortunate to have a view of the cathedral (from 4th floor). No dresser, so we left items in suitcases and on top of bar cabinet, but were able to hang clothes in closet. Since most of our time is spent outside, we were fine with a smaller room. Our room faced the pretty courtyard and there were no noise issues. Being a Select Member is worth it for the extra perks. We should have joined earlier when we stayed at the Omni hotel on the other side of Canal St. This hotel is in the heart of the French Quarter and has more ambience. Right outside the door are restaurants, cafes, museums, and many shops. Few minutes walk to Jackson Square, Café du Monde, Cathedral, Bourbon Street, Canal Street and so much more. The staff is especially helpful and efficient with suggestions for dining and express check out. Don't miss the rooftop with an observation deck and spectacular view.
We had never been to New Orleans but decided to go for our 40th Anniversary.We went on Trip Advisor and the Omni was highly recommended.It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.We had a balcony room and could listen to music on Royal Street but it was quiet at night Our room was small but very comfortable.Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful.As a surprise for our anniversary they gave us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.We would stay there again in a hearbeat.
The chef was great with braised ribs on valentines day with room service. The chef also sent an amazing cheese dip and wonderful cake with wine to our room for my Birthday in room 408. Thank you to the chef and ANTHONY that made sure we got our special room 408. We will always stay at the Omni. Our turn down service by a woman who has served you for 30 plus years is amazing. We hope to have more Lawyer CLE's in the future. Great job! Britton Harris ABODA
