This beautiful, clean hotel boasting fabulous architecture is located in the heart of the French Quarter, close to most major attractions but the block difference Bourbon St still allowed us a peaceful night sleep. Our room featured a comfortable bed and all the amenities we needed. The roof top pool provided a perfect view of the city together with a chance to cool off from the heat. Hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay in New Orleans. We loved New Orleans and the Omni hotel. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I recommend the Omni Royal New Orleans to anyone who wants the best experience you can have. It's worth it! The building, rooms, staff, service, cleanliness, location, and amenities are excellent. The food and room service are also superior.

We were staying at the Omni for the last week of March. The first room they gave us (368) was quite spacious but right next to the lifts so we could hear the 'pings' constantly whenever it was called. After requesting a change, we were given 363 which is at the far end of the corridor - it was a smaller room, but much quieter. The window however looked out at the back of the hotel so a bit dark even with the curtains pulled. Having booked for a full week, we were hoping that we would perhaps be upgraded or able to a room with either a courtyard or front street view but no such luck as the hotel was fully booked for conferences and wedding parties - no fault of the concierge but disappointing. That said, the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic and walking distance to all the main attractions, as well as lots of places to eat nearby. Bourbon Street was very close, but we preferred Frenchman Street for going out/music. The rooftop pool and observation deck were also nice places to relax and the bar was open the first night we were there but not on other days, so perhaps they were just testing things out. My husband also used the gym on one occasion and the concierge was really helpful in arranging plantation tours for us. Would recommend to family & friends, but definitely would have been a bonus to get room on higher levels with better views.

We chose the hotel based on location first and second based on the beautiful architecture. When we arrived everyone was friendly and the lobby looked just like the picture. The location is perfect, just a block from the center of Bourbon St and only a few blocks from St. Louis Square. The roof top pool has great views especially at night.
Now about our stay....The walls in this hotel are very thin. There is also a gap of about 1-2 inches under the door leading to the main hallway. There are signs up near the elevator asking guests to be quiet as they walk down the hallway, but no one does. When people get in late at night or leave early in the morning, it sounds like they are in your room! Bring earplugs unless you are a very heavy sleeper.
We booked the room through Hotels.com. I think was why we were given the room we were given. The room we were in was extremely tiny by New Orleans standards. 120 square feet and that includes the small entry way. There was large furniture, a desk and a large minibar. You could barely get to the other side of the bed. There were no drawers to put your things. The closet was tiny and had a safe about 2 ft off the ground, so there was no place to put your luggage so it had to go under the now useless desk. The bathroom had only a small shelf to put your stuff 4"x14" and again no drawers and no counters. Make sure if you book this hotel, know what type of room you are booking or leave your luggage at home!
Although the hotel was beautiful, I don't think I would stay here again unless the deal was so unbelievable that I couldn't pass it up. I suggest the Bourbon Orleans for location or the Sheraton for a large quiet room.

Room Tip: There are rooms of all sizes. Make sure you know what size you are booking before you go.

Hotel is located in excellent location.. Clean and well kept historical building..if you are claustrophobic then make sure you do not get the room I got. It was too small and nosy from street continues till very late evening. on the other hand you can walk everywhere from hotel.. all the attractions are in walking distance..you do not need a car.. Over all was good experience except small room , noisy neighbor.. and of course pricy...

We offer a variety of different room types to cater to a various amount of people. If you are interested in a more spacious room type you would want to chose a Premier type room or larger. Thank you for your feedback and your time, as we appreciate them both.

We will never stay any where but the Omni in the future. Everything was outstanding. The location is perfect to see everything. The hotel and staff go above and beyond to make your visit extra special. We fell in love with New Orleans all over again after this stay at the Omni. Well done!

The Omni Royal Orleans is the best place to stay in New Orleans. We celebrated my wife's 30th birthday there last week and it was amazing! From the moment of check in with Brandi at the front desk until our departure it was fantastic! Brandi is a stellar employee who made our stay memorable! The location can not be beat! In the middle of everything and right on Royal Street! The roof top pool and bar is beautiful and a great place to relax with a cocktail! This is the place to stay when visiting NOLA!
