Stayed here for 4 nights. Their rewards program is great, you receive complimentary juices/water and free wifi. The rooftop pool is awesome with a bar and lounge area! The staff was friendly but not so helpful, at least when it came to the concierge. Here are some examples of what we experienced:

1- Concierge, although eager to recommend places, they forgot to mention information that should be mentioned such as... If you recommend a brunch place, it would be nice to know that it comes in a $30 flat fee and that it's buffet style. We walked into a surprise when we saw this and decided to walk out and find a different spot. Or booking a tour, it would have been nice to know that the drive with the shuttle bus is 45min+... To be prepared with a book or headphones.

2- There was a Q-tip and some feathers for almost 3 days by the elevator. I noticed since time of check in and saw it there often wondering when it will be removed.

3- Two days prior our check out we requested a late check out time due to a later flight. The front desk was very kind in honoring that for us and updating the reservation with our late checkout. We really needed to get a nap in, before a long night of travel with lay overs.... With that said, come 1:30 pm... In the middle of sleep we hear knocking on the door. Startled I say 'I have a late check out'... Then I'm wondering... Do they always break PRIVACY signs and knock anyways? It totally ruined our planned day. It's hard to describe but I'm sure most of you understand what it feels like to be woken up, especially if you're a light sleeper. A DND on a door means to not be disturbed buy, yet we were. This really was disappointing :/

4- When we checked in, there were small hairs on the toilet seat which automatically made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room.

For a 4 diamond property, none of the above should have happened. What was icing on the cake too was this... I called the front desk a few minutes after housekeeping knocked through our privacy sign and let them know that we were just woken up by this... And if they could make sure hskp knows about our late check out. The lady on the phone simply said "ok I'll make sure they know". No apology, no acknowledgement or anything. Just a monotone response of that.

The hotel is in a great location and the restaurant Steak was out of this world!
As a product, the hotel was nice. But attention to detail is missing and needs retraining.

This hotel is very nice if you want to be in walking distance to Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, Riverwalk, Harrah's Casino, and just about anything else the French Quarter has to offer. The restaurants in and around the hotel are excellent (Gumbo Shop, K-Pauls, Rib Room just to name a few).

The room was a big smaller than we thought but was still clean & comfortable. Roof top pool was very refreshing after the long hot days out & about. Downside- $.98 for a local call & if u need to park, it's pretty pricey per night. Overall a wonderful experience!

Wife and I stayed there Feb of 2014. If you want to feel well taken care of, this is the place to go. Rooms are small (like a downtown Chicago room) but everything inside is nicely done. Pool was closed during our stay due to colder weather and we did not eat at the restaurant there. The hotel is located in the Quarter so you can walk to pretty much everything. If you are looking for other things to do, I HIGHLY recommend the carasel bar (short walk away), Johnny's Po Boys (shorter walk away), and the World War museum is a must.

Perfect for our family of 4. It was in the ideal location; close enough to Bourbon St, but far enough away. We were surrounded by excellent restaurants. The rooftop pool was enjoyable and the staff was attentive. My children appreciated the nice gesture of a complimentary Shirley Temple. Our room was spacious and clean.

Omni Royal Orleans is in the heart of the French Quarter, only a short walk to all attractions. The hotel is very pretty and well maintained and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This is a first rate operation. The room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. The balcony was a nice addition. My only disappointment was that I paid for wifi and it was very spotty. It connected one day on my Kindle Fire and never on my iPhone. It was still a great hotel.
