“Great Location, small but workable rooms, Nice staff.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

We liked this hotel for it's location, but found rooms a little small. We are not ones that look for over the top hotels but do like clean and somewhat roomy. This room barely fit the bed and dresser. But other then that for the price and location you can't beat it. The staff was really nice and keep rooms very clean and are willing to help with cabs, directions, suggestions or anything else you might need. Being 2 blocks from Bourbon Street can make some night a little loud with people on there way to and from but not too bad, get an inside room was what we were told and will try that next time!

Room Tip: Ask for interior room so as not to deal with so much of street noise but you will also miss out on t...

We booked a suite on the ground floor. Clean, spacious and the staff were pleasant and very helpful. A great location. A very basic, but good bar directly across the street. Great location, just 5-10 minute walk to Bourbon Street. A great hotel for a long-weekend.... close to the nightlife, yet a quiet and safe-feeling street. The only issue was that the wifi was not working for the majority of the stay, but the hotel compensated us, so all good!

My husband and I stayed at the Inn April 28-May 3. We chose to stay in the courtyard and were given Room 1. As others mentioned, it was small but very cute and clean. we did have a window, which we found out the room next to us didn't. We enjoyed the courtyard with tables to have our coffee in the am before heading out to our excursions. Nice touch to have a keurig coffee maker in the room and extra coffee in their lobby, when we needed that second cup. we found all of the staff there very helpful and kind (actually everyone in NOLA were very nice). We also enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings people watching. I can see how others mention the noise factor if you were on the top floor, Burgundy was a busy street and there is a bar on the corner. We loved the location, walking distance to everything (bring good shoes). On Thursday evening, we ventured two blocks, going away from the water and discovered a beautiful park that was hosting some great local music, foods and crafts. Again, amazed at how friendly everyone was. Overall, it was a very nice stay at the Inn, we felt safe. I would have no concerns booking here again should we make it back to NOLA! what a beautiful city... We did some excursions such as the hop on hop off tour, creole queen, swamp tour, NOLA school for cooking, ghost walking tour and rum distillery tour which I will post comments on their sites. missing new Orleans already.

Room Tip: We had room 1, it was small but very clean.

In a "nicer" part of the Quarter, the Inn is within easy walking distance of all that it has to offer. The staff are exceptionally warm and friendly and the room was very clean, although I declined "service" on 2/3 days. The courtyard is peaceful and charming, as is this historic building. It would have been especially nice to have a fridge and a full length mirror, but you can't have everything! Great value for weekday stays.

Stayed one night here in May 2014. We had a King Deluxe room which was on the ground floor of interior courtyard. Rooms are small, but cute. Hotel pictures are accurate. I would not suggest a room on this level due to the noise. Hotel occupants come in and out of a metal gate only steps from the front door of your room. Price was fantastic and an easy walk to bourbon st. Would stay again but only in a balcony room.

We stayed in room 35 which was two queen bed deluxe on the second floor and faces towards the courtyard. Looking through the reviews I was a little concerned about the noise level, however when we stayed 5/10-5/13 it was not noisy at all even on Saturday night. I guess staying in the inner rooms helps with that. The hotel is located two blocks from Bourbon street so that was very convenient., however I would not suggest walking by yourself back at a late hour.

When we arrived at 10am our room was already ready. The lobby was very small and they offered complementary fruit and coffee. All the hotel staff were very nice always greeted us when they past by.

The room itself was a little on the small side which didn't really matter since we were hardly in the room. The bathroom and the room was clean. Beds were done everyday and towels replaced daily.

What I liked best about this hotel was that it had a lot of charm the brick walls, the courtyard and the second floor terrace where you can see all the way down St. Peter and see the cathedral. I definitely did not want to stay in a large chain hotel and this was the perfect place to really get that French Quarter feel.

Room Tip: Seems like the rooms on the outside facing the streets were loud, so I would pick an interior room t...

Very central location, though a few blocks removed from all the craziness of Bourbon street so was a nice quiet retreat. Was able to walk all over the French Quarter where there are great restaurants and fun boutiques. Beautiful courtyard with lovely shade, cobble stone and brick walls. Beautiful simple rooms. Lovely atmosphere. Beds were comfortable. A/C available, ceiling fan, free WiFi, TV, Keurig coffee machine in room. Beds made and towels changed daily. Bathroom updated but plumbing is quite old so bit low water pressure and had to wait quite a while for hot water to kick in. Very friendly staff. This is a great alternative to staying at the big hotels that are either much more expensive, or further away from the quarter.
