All exceptional service at this fine old hotel. Rooms were updated and comfortable. Perfect place to unwind from the convention or evening out on Bourbon Street. Walking distance to everything in the French Quarter. Cocktails at the Carousel Bar is a must.

We would recommend this hotel to even the most picky of people and not be worried that they would be disappointed.
We cannot praise it enough as the staff are the most welcoming we have experienced on all our trips to all parts of the world.
Comfortable and in a perfect location for The French Quarter.

Room Tip: If you can afford a suite - go for it as they are so comfortable and a home from home.

This hotel located in the French Quarter has everything you will ever need to have a great time in New Orleans. We arrived early around 11am, and ask about early check in, they didn't have anything open right then, but they checked our bags and took our number to call us when something opened up, within half an hour our room was ready! After lunch we checked in and found our room to be comfortable and plush the marble in the bathroom was a very nice touch as well. The nice lady at the VIP concierge was very helpful with info and stories about the area also she was able to print our boarding passes for us. And then there is the Carousel Bar which was great, such a fun thing, and don't be fooled at first glance it looks much smaller than it is, drinks were great and atmosphere was super cool.

Room Tip: Housekeeping seems to be very busy so if you stop by front desk to let them know when you'd like...

The staff is always courteous and it is a very clean place which is my primary concern when I stay in hotels. I haven't had the chance to look at the facilities (pool, gym, lounge bar). But from what I have seen, the pool is not too big, and the carousel bar is always busy. The breakfast at the Criollo restaurant is pretty good! As for quietness, we were given a room at 7th floor at the back of the hotel where it faces huges A/C handler units that I think is from another building. It is loud at night, you can hear them blowing all night long.

Room Tip: Don't get a room at the back of the hotel where it faces huge A/C units, and probably the higher...

All exceptional service from their garage personnel, receptionists, doormen, waiters and maids. Immaculate river-facing corner room #1133..was quiet except for the giant upstairs who stomped while walking and our one neighbor who brought their Madi Gras to their room..luckily both tenants left and we had quiet for the remaining three days. Hotel restaurant
breakfast is fabulous..not free, nor
is the internet. Raoul, the luggage storage man referred us to good places to go to. WILL stay here again when we come back.

Stayed at Monteleon with friends for a week and had a wonderful time. Hotel was beautiful, location excellent and restaurant served delicious food. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. In particular, Al and Raoul provided wonderful service. They helped us to schedule tours, recommended restaurants and night spots and helped us to have a wonderful time. They treated us like family and made us feel very welcome in New Orleans -- hope our paths cross again.
