“Beautiful setting, great location”
Reviewed 4 April 2014

What a wonderful stay we had at this boutique hotel. The service is perfect, the courtyard beautiful, and the rooms delightful. We loved looking out from our room onto the courtyard and the fountain quietly soothed us to sleep. We had tried many hotels in NOLA but have now landed
on the one we will always go to and tell friends to do like wise. The breakfast that is included
and served until 11am is also a nice addition and makes the overall stay fairly reasonable for
a New Orleans hotel. What a perfect location....so close to Royal and not far from Bourbon yet tucked away on this nice, not so crazy street...so you feel safe getting back to your room,
and yet can quickly get to the city's night life, etc.

Room Tip: make sure to ask for a room overlooking the courtyard

We stayed at the hotel Mazarin for four nights and were delighted with this choice. Friendly service, large, nicely appointed room with comfortable beds, right in the very epicenter of the Quarter! The rooms are soundproofed, at least on the street side. We did hear some noise and partying in the courtyard, but it was minimal. It was hard to believe we were right off Bourbon St. The daily breakfast was very good, and bottles of water were provided free of charge to the room
We had the romance package, which included a gift certificate to Arnauds. We thoroughly enjoyed the jazz brunch there! Top notch! We did make a small service request for our room, which never happened. The pillows were not that of a five star hotel. However, the location just cannot be beat! Overall, a lovely hotel that is highly recommended!

Room Tip: We had room 503, top floor. It has smaller windows than the lower floors but is probably a bit quie...

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location to be in the heart of the French Quarter. The staff and service were wonderful and the rooms were gorgeous. It is the best place to stay for the real New Orleans experience. Would absolutely and only stay there on our next visit!

Located right off of Bourbon Street! Everyone who works here will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The accommodations are lovely at a very reasonable price. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast too!

We stayed at the Hotel Mazarin for 3 nightsand booked a queen room. Although the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very new and clean, the room was EXTREMELY small, basically not much bigger than the bed itself. We requested to move into a larger room and were told there were none available that night but we could move to a king room the next 2 nights. The room we moved to, was terrific. Very spacious, new and clean with a view of the court yard. And best of all, our rate did not go up! The free breakfast was excellent, made-to-order omelets and pancakes as well as nice buffet selection. Location was perfect, an easy walk to all the sights, no need for a cab at all.

This hotel is a Fodor's Top Choice in the French Quarter for a reason! My wife, daughters and I had a wonderful stay. As others have noted, the buffet breakfast each morning is fantastic, with excellent service. Every staff person, from the managers down to the bellboys and parking valets, are genuinely friendly, prompt and attentive to your every need. Our room was spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. The setting is beautiful, as is the courtyard area. I can't recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back next time I'm in New Orleans!

This is a really good hotel.
Situated 20 yards from Bourbon Street and 30 yards from the delightful Royal Street - you could not ask for a better location.
We had a Superior King room on the 5th floor - it was spacious, quiet and at $219 a night with breakfast - a bargain. Throw in a good coffee machine, iPod charger, a big bed and an excellent walk in shower - it was great. The reception staff were excellent - they could not have been more helpful.
Breakfast is a little short of what you might expect from an American hotel.
It is actually somewhere between a "small chain" hotel and a "boutique" hotel.
That said - we would REALLY recommend it - not least because of its first rate location.
