“Stay at Hotel Mazarin”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

WE enjoyed a 3 day stay at the Hotel Mazarin. The hotel was clean and well furnished, the staff very attentive and helpful and the breakfast was a buffet with many choices. The location is 1/2 block from Bourbon Street as well as walking distance from other attractions.

Don't look anywhere else in NOLA, stay at the "Mazz" - you won't be sorry. The breakfast is the best in town. Ask for the pancakes. There are two bars attached to the hotel, one with music. Both are great.

Room Tip: Stay on the 3rd or 4th floor, if street noise bothers you. Especially on the weekends.

My husband
Band and I recently traveled to New Orleans to celebrate a friends birthday. Hotel Mazarin was amazing....staff was friendly and welcoming. Helpful to all our needs, but we didn't need much. The courtyard was beautiful and relaxing, however it was noisy and breakfast time. You would hear other patrons enjoying their breakfast in our room. We tend to be early risers, so it didn't effect us, but if you wanted to sleep in it was a distraction. The drinking water I. The lobby was amazing as well, infused with fresh strawberries, oranges and mint! Very refreshing and delicious on those hot Louisiana days. Great location close to shopping and. Bourbon Street. Great restaurants close by as well.

Room Tip: You want to book floor 2, because if it rains a tarp is covering the courtyard and it blocks your vi...

We needed a good hotel to base our graduation activities and we found a great hotel. the staff was very, very accommodating! the morning breakfast was fantastic. the rooms were big and everything was very clean. I will return to spend more time in the Quarter.

Room Tip: We had three rooms and NONE of the street noise penetrated our rooms.

I was not impressed with this hotel. First, the reservation was not confirmed with me via email as they promised, so I had to call back and tell them I had made a reservation and would they please confirm. Second, the room we received (201) was surrounded by the evevator, and everytime the elevator moved, which was constantly, it sounded like thunder in our room. We asked for another room and had to move ourselves. Third, the machines in the fitness center did not work and the eningeer did not know how it fix it. The TV stations in the fitness center did not match the number of the TV channels in the hotel.
All in all, it was a bad experience and would not recommend and certainly would not stay here again.

This hotel met and exceeded all our expectations. It was clean, modern, and elegant. Our room was immaculate and had all the amenities we expect. The location was perfect - walking distance from restaurants, bars, sites, and trolley. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. The best part was the staff. I accidentally left my purse in the cab and the staff went above and beyond to assist in getting it back. They called the cab company several times, walked around the block hoping to find our cab, and in less than an hour the cab driver returned with my purse. BTW - jot down the cab company name and the cab number every time you ride in a cab... you never know. Thank you for making our trip to New Orleans wonderful.

A luxury to tumble out of bed and left into Rue Royale with its antiques, galleries and hat shop at Goorin Bros and within a few blocks be in Andrew Jackson Square. Or stumble right two blocks to Canal street for the tramcar to City Park and its lovely sculpture Garden or the Charles St tramcar to Garden District for a fabulous Creole lunch at Commander's Palace and a view of millionaires row. And then there is the Hotel! If you love a courtyard and fountain, lovely galleries, cool black marble floors, old furnishings, window shutters and balcony then this hotel is for you. Friendly staff, super clean and wi-fi that works well. If you want to escape a car and just walk this is ideal - the wonderful Snug Bar and its modern jazz is 12 blocks and even that is only 20 minutes walk. Ask for a quiet room but then if you want quiet do not come to exciting, noisy wonderful New Orleans

Room Tip: Away from the street
