There are lots of luxury hotels to choose from in NOLA. We've stayed at Windsor Court, Ritz-Carlton and Monteleon. Royal Sonesta is a worthy competitor in that niche. The property is pretty well maintained and is in a great spot on Bourbon Street. We stayed in a 2 level patio suite and were impressed with how quiet it was considering the Bourbon Street chaos. Staff is okay, not great. Rarely saw a doorman. Front desk was courteous enough but not that impressive, and was stymied when I reported our room phone was malfunctioning.
Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom just average. Nice toiletries. We loved the bars and restaurants on the property. Beautiful floral dispays everywhere in the common areas.More
