While staying in the French Quarter, it hard to not have a good time. But resting and proximity are key to enjoying the entire experience in this locale. Plugged in to the heart of Bourbon Street, this beautiful hotel acted as a great haven to get away... For a few minutes or for several hours it makes your stay less work and more play!

We were there for a little R & R after a long summer. It was a great trip and the hotel made a huge difference. The pool is relaxing. The Revolution restaurant had an amazing corn and crab chowder. Right outside of the back door is the 200 year old Absinthe House. If you like Jazz Mayfield's is awesome and The restaurant Desire had fantastic service and food.

We give this a 4 because simply, we have to hope one day to find a 5... Our opinion is that we just do not think you can go wrong at this hotel. Get a balcony room, enjoy the wonderful bed, room and view. Ours was overlooking Bienville Street because we did want some rest. You can get a room on Bourbon but if it is too loud, we were told they will accommodate you if possible.

Enjoy...

My husband and I decided to return to New Orleans for a few days of fun and frivolity, having visted 3 times previously on business. We wanted to stay right on Bourbon St to enable us to have the nightlife right outside our front door. Well, being middle-aged but active people, it couldn't have been a better choice. We walked on Bourbon St every night, sat in the open-air bars, listened to some amazing music and danced into the wee hours. Even when we returned to our room, which was nothing special, but very clean and spacious, we had a balcony overlooking all the action. I would definitely recommend a balcony room...it is well worth the extra price. We only sate by the pool on one occasion, and there were quite a few people there...the pool is in a courtyard in the centre of the hotel and is quiet respite from the hustle and bustle outside! Drinks poolside were a lovely treat, too. We decided to rent bikes one day and the concierge was extremely helpful in finding us a rental place (NO is not a place I would recommend riding a bike...we have cycled in Chicago, New York, Boston, but never again in NO) The restaurant attached to the hotel was, surpirsingly, the best one we ate in during our stay...get the crawfish! All in all, a great stay in a great hotel and will stay again...soon!

Room Tip: Get a balcony room for watching the nightlife, but an inner courtyard room if the action is not your style

Great rooms, lots of ammenities and great location.
Desires nice place for food, coffee shop useful, Le Booze good and IM's Jazz Playhouse is great!
Bourbon can be intense but RS NO is like an Oasis of calm!
Not far walk for rest of Quarter or Streetcars to other parts of NO.
Nice courtyard with pool and bar as well.

Room Tip: Heard that the Bourbon side rooms are noisey so request rooms facing away.

The hotel and the rooms are not what you see on the web page, first we had to pay a $40 a day for parking which is not mention any where on the reservation nor the web page, then we could NOT get the room we booked, the front desk said that even if your reservation says 2 beds it is NOT warranty, which it does not say on the confirmation we got either.... Very disappointing that we had to change room the next day in order to get the room we booked, besides all when we got to the room the it was smelly and the closets' doors were following apart. For the priced we paid it was not worth it, we could it stayed at a Hilton or better hotel for that cost.

Beautiful hotel, great location on Bourbon. Our room was on the 5th floor, facing Bourbon. Small room, but very beautiful. Great pool area for relaxing. Outdoor atrium type patio was gorgeous. As for the noise of being on the Bourbon Street side, we kept the air conditioner on low, and that was enough to block out the noise. Only draw back is they did not want us to handle our bags at all. We are just used to handling our own bags. They helped us unload, which was great, but bellhop INSISTED that he must take our bags to our room. We did not have a choice. This made for a very uncomfortable journey to our room.

Room Tip: Keep A/C on to block out noise! Try their restaurant, Desire! Yummy breakfast and dinner.
