This is a great location for visiting the French Quarter. However the rooms are in desperate need of upgrades. The doctor is dated and feels dirty.

My husband & I booked a room at the Prince Conti on fairly short notice, as we had been staying in Cajun country and decided on a whim to spend a night in New Orleans before heading to Alabama and Florida. We couldn't have picked a better hotel! The Prince Conti is an older hotel, but clean and charming. The rooms are remarkably soundproof, which was a delighful surprise to us, as the hotel is within a short walking distance of Bourbon St. We found the price very reasonable, considering the location and classiness of the place. The staff was most friendly and accommodating. The king-sized bed was extremely comfortable (even my husband thought so, and he is extraordinarily picky when it comes to mattresses). We did have to wait a little while for our car, as many people were checking out at the same time, but that wasn't a problem for us, as we were not in a particular hurry; if you will be in a hurry, you might wish to check out early to avoid the rush. That said, we recommend the Prince Conti highly and hope to stay there again when we next visit New Orleans.

First of all congratulations to both management and the owners for establishing such an accommodating and professional staff. All of the employees were great.

The hotel's location is perfect just one block north of Bourbon right in the heart of the French Quarter. Everything you could possibly need is within crawling distance.

The deluxe king room I rented was nicely appointed and spacious enough to spread out a bit without feeling cramped. Other rooms may feature views while I was treated to mechanical waste in the adjacent alleyway. Keep the shades drawn and enjoy the room decor instead. Really a non issue regardless, as whose awake during daylight in the quarter?

The only thing I have even leaning toward a complaint is that the walls are mighty thin. I was treated to the conversation of retired folks above me and the amorous endeavors of other people somewhere nearby. The direction of the disturbance is often not even identifiable. Just an ongoing muffled rumble when guests are present. For a real treat be in your room when the cleaning staff puts the tidy on the room over yours and play pin the tail on the moving vacuum on your ceiling.

Made reservation at the welcome center upon entering state. Saved $30 by doing so. Since we didn't have a chance to go online to check it, we were more than a little nervous about what we would find. Could not have been happier with choice. As others have said, great location, quaint and clean. Bonus is security of parking area. Can walk to anyplace in French Quarter. Wanted to get an early start in morning, so we ate at hotel coffee shop. It was adequate but considering where we were, should have spent a little more time and gone to Deanies. Very cooperative about late check out and leaving car in their lot.

My 2 adult daughters & I stayed for 4 nights & enjoyed hotel very much, 1/2 block off Bourbon, street, but very quiet (except 1 neighbor occassionally) We stayed in junior suite -- 1 king, 1 queen sleeper couch -- and all were very comfotable, a little tight when sofa was converted into bed, but ok. But bring your slippers -- carpets are nasty! Location can't be beat whether you want to party or shop or sightsee
I usually try to stay away from hotel food, but the coffee shop for breakfast was very nice, made me sorry we didnt try Bombay Club for dinner.
Great restaurant across the street - Broussards $100 for 3 (no drinks) food was awesome -- highly reccomend. Reservations are best.

Room Tip: Our corner room was very nice
