“Fantastic Location”

This is a lovely charming hotel very close to Bourbon street but very quiet. We had a massive, clean room with a really cosy bed. WIFI is free and connection was really good. The cafe at the entrance is great, we got a $2 discount for breakfast. The sweet potato pancakes were divine and MASSIVE! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely hotel just around the corner from where all the action starts in the French Quarter, if you so desire it: The Bourbon Street scene! However the hotel is a quiet respite from all the goings on. It is clean, well maintained, and had a quiet, French charm. We stayed here for a week in January 2012, just before Mardi Gras, and could not have been more pleased with the pleasant comfort. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room is a good size with a comfortable, king size bed and the bathroom, modern and clean. And the rates were very reasonable. We look forward to returning.

Room Tip: You can call their local number 504-529-4172 and probably request a good room. Ours was room # 306...

This is a great place to stay in New Orleans. The hotel is situated one block off of Bourbon. The staff are very helpful and everyone is friendly. They have a wonderful little cafe that is great for breakfast. The praline bacon is yummy..
ps.. The prices are great too!

We stayed one night at the Prince Conti (pronounced with a long I, we were told by the locals) on our way out on a cruise. The hotel has the historical and architectural charm. It is a very old building. The rooms are very small with older carpet and older televisions (small and not the flat screen type). The beds are not top quality. It is an older mattress that probably needs to be updated. Our room on 2nd floor had a bad odor, something like dirty carpet. They had sprayed room spray, but it didn't help. Our friends stayed in a different room and they had no odor in their room. I would have complained, but we were only there for one night and they let us into our room early because we flew in and arrived by taxi. We were grateful to get into our room early. The housekeeping manager inspected the room right before we entered our room, because she was coming out of the room as we arrived at the door. The staff did not meet us outside at the curb, so we had to carry our luggage inside and up to our room. They did hold the door open for us coming in the front entrance. The taxi driver was surprised they did not come outside too. The lobby is very small. There is no complimentary breakfast offered. There was a restaurant on the property, but we did not go in it.The rooms have paper thin walls. I could hear everything said as people walked by. We were near the ice machine so we had a fair amount of traffic by our room. There was also a lot of noise above our room. I am guessing the floors are hard wood because there was a ton of squeaking above us as they moved about. I joked that the people above us had dance practice in the upstairs room starting very early in the day. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of all the action. It was nice to walk to the clubs and restaurants that evening. It was nice and warm weather in January. The cost of our room was $159 for the night, which is probably reasonable for the location. We had no other complaints or problems.

We returned yesterday from a trip to New Orleans and were very pleased with the Prince Conti hotel. The location can't be beat - less than a block from Bourbon St with none of the noise! It is surrounded by restaurants. We arrived earlier than anticipated and were told our room would be ready in an hour, so we migrated straight to Acme for oysters. On our return we were amazed at the size of the suite - a large bedroom, a complete kitchen with full-sized stove, frig, micro, etc., and a large dining room/living room with an enormous table and six leather chairs. A pullout sofa and chair completed the room. True the furniture was a bit dated, but very clean.
The front desk staff was very helpful in giving us suggestions for restaurants although this was not our first trip, so we had favorites to revisit.
We had previously stayed at another of their properties, and were pleased with that as well. We will definitely stay here again if we return.

Room Tip: If you are looking for a suite, rooms 103 and 104 are huge!

We just got back from New Orleans. The Prince Conti Hotel was excellent. Rooms were very clean, Bathroom shower pressure was great, staff was helpful and nice. Location was great, just a block down from Bourbon Street. I would def recommend to park at the hotel, your car is safe and you can come and go as you please but you are in walking distance to every place you would like to go. The Deja Vu restaurant across the street had great food and was very reasonably priced. I would def come back here.
