This Hotel is ideally located for walking throughout the French Quarter. Unfortunately as senior travelers, the Bourbon St. scene is not our thing and generally we avoided the street by choosing our path accordingly. The problem arises when the revelers return to their rooms in the early morning with loud talk, boisterous laughter, and stomach sickness - the hotel is not built for privacy. Our room walls were paper thin; we are not light sleepers either but we heard it all! Aside from that, the hotel is a pleasant, clean and comfortable small hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was not on Conti Street and street noise was not an issue.

Room Tip: There are bars across the street from the hotel that experience loud street noise. Ask that your roo...

First of all the location of this property is great. One block from Bourbon St. It was quiet at night even though Bourbon is so close. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. The room wasn't huge but plenty of space for a 3 night stay. Directly over the road was a great German restaurant. I recommend getting the hotel to book the alligator air boat swamp tour, it was so much fun. Overall I have no complaints about Prince Conti and would stay again.

The hotel staff was very nice, the room was clean, and the location was excellent. Could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!!! The hotel is an older hotel, but for an older hotel it is in excellent shape. New Orleans can sometimes be a loud place to stay because of the atmosphere, but the Prince Conti was very quiet and far enough from Bourbon to cut down on the noise yet close enough to have an easy walk to Bourbon and other places of interest in the Quarter.

Perfect location, just half a block off of Bourbon Street. Can't say enough about the friendly staff. The room was amazing w the brick wall and antique looking furniture. Most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. Will definitely stay here again if we're ever in New Orleans.

I grew up in New Orleans but have not lived there for many years. But one thing that always stays pretty much the same, is the French Quarter and its hotels. Your accommodation expectations need to be reasonable when you're dealing with buildings that are, in some cases, well over 100 to 200 years old. Of course most hotels have been upgraded over the years - some more recently than others. But if you're expecting fresh paint and new carpet, along with modern furniture and big screen TVs, perhaps some of the older New Orleans hotels are not for you. If you want a high-tech, sterile chain hotel experience, there's nothing wrong with that and those hotels can be found in New Orleans. But if you book a local hotel, please understand that the furniture may be a bit worn, the bathrooms a little "rustic", and the elevators a little slow. But that's part of the charm of older hotels in New Orleans. And let's face it: You probably won't be spending all that much time in the room anyway.

The Prince Conti Hotel however, gives you many of the comfort and amenities of the chain hotels but with the old town charm the city has to offer with a French Quartet location that cannot be beat for its convenience to all of the attractions you visit the city for in the first place. Located a half block from Bourbon Street, it's close enough to "the action" but far away enough to allow you a good night's rest away from the drunken revelers - that is unless they are in the room across the hall from you, as was the case our second night at The Prince Conti. But hey. 'Not the hotel's fault. There are rude jerks everywhere. After we "politely" asked them to shut the heck up at 2 o'clock in the morning, they eventually piped down.

Our rate was half the price of other similar hotels where we've stayed in the city. So, despite some of the good reviews we had seen, we were still a bit leery to book our stay here. But we found the Prince Conti staff to be friendly and helpful. Our King Deluxe room was a bit small but very comfortable and clean. The onsite restaurant and club were also first rate and very reasonably priced. We had breakfast in the hotel cafe' each morning and it was excellent.

We took a taxi to and from the hotel but please know that the only parking option is valet @ $27 per day. But keep in mind, the Quarter is for the most part a residential area and most overnight street parking requires a residential parking permit. The "meter maids" are everywhere and VERY aggressive in the city so even if you can find a place to park, beware if you elect to park on the street. And public lots in the Quarter are virtually non-existent.

So, given our experience, I HIGHLY recommend The Prince Conti (pronouced KON-TYE) Hotel for its great location, upgraded amenities including free wi-fi, and its unbeatable value. The only "negative"? The elevator was a bit slow at times but it's only a three-story hotel so all things considered, it wasn't really that bad. I plan on coming back to the city next year for my high school reunion and The Prince Conti will definitely be our hotel of choice.

Stayed here with my girlfriend for a vacation. We arrived on a Saturday and the valet parked our car for us. I would highly recommend using their valet service because finding a place to park around the French Quarter area is all but impossible. We also intended on leaving the French Quarter to experience other parts of New Orleans so it was nice knowing that we always had a parking spot secured. The hotel was quite spacious and very clean. The hotel staff was friendly and answered any questions that we had. My only complaint is the noise. We had a room that faced Conti street and we were less than a block away from Bourbon Street. The noise at night was very loud and very constant. At one point a car parked right in front of the hotel and played its music as loud as it could. I would stay here again but I would request a room that did not face the street.

My sister and I made a quick 20-hour stop in NOLA on our way to Florida and booked the hotel the day before arrival. The location is perfect - just off Bourbon Street and smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter. Priced way below expectations. Darling charm, very friendly staff. Clean & quiet! Will DEFINITELY stay here again!
