Overall this was a nice hotel for the price. The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My complaint is the cleanliness of the pillows and mattresses. On the day we checked out one of the pillowcases pulled off the pillow and was disgusting. The pillows were yellow with stains all over them. I understand that you can't continually replace pillows, but put a protector on it or at least wash it once in a while. Old and dated I can handle but not dirty and unclean.

I have actually stayed at this hotel twice - once in Sept 2009 with 5 other women for a bachelorette party. It was so good that when I planned a last minute trip for a friend's birthday we booked it here too! (July 2010) The staff are very helpful and friendly! It is literally steps away from the action - but you get a nice quiet rest when you are inside the hotel. Clean rooms and good value! We will stay here again!!! Even though parking is kind of pricey (however it is ANYWHERE in NOLA) you do not have to worry about your car - they Valet it for you when you arrive and bring it back when its time to go! I also like that you must have your key to enter the main doors after dark - makes you feel safe!

the price couldnt be beat, great service at front desk, everywhere except bar in Bombay Club, I'll do a separate review. Beautiful room, can't beat central location, we booked 2 nights and last minute did a 3rd night called 10p at night man at front desk was so helpful, would most certainly stay here again!

It really doesn’t get much better than this. Nice hotel. Great location. Clean rooms. Fair price. The Prince Conti is smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter one block off Bourbon Street. You can stumble, crawl and or amble your way to all the action in mere seconds.

I was a little skeptical when I hit “click” on an unknown 3-star hotel in the French Quarter for a great price on Hotwire. But when the name was revealed I did a quick scan on TripAdvisor and all my fears were squashed. But I gotta tell you, the hotel in person is better than the review.

Yes, the Marriott, W, Sheraton, Roosevelt, and so on may be larger, but nothing beats the Prince Conti for LOCATION! And that’s the thing that counts in New Orleans! I’d hate to have to travel back to Canal Street late at night after strolling down Bourbon St. No need if you are staying at the Prince Conti. Roll down Bourbon and stumble back into the hotel. Not a problem.

The hotel is in an older building squashed between other older buildings. Yes, when you open the curtains you will see the wall of another building. BUT in the room I was in there was a very nice skylight that negated and problems with the lack of a window view. PLUS, if your goal in New Orleans is just to sit in the room, you are missing on quite a lot.

The room was furnished VERY comfortably and (very important) the AC worked well!  The bathroom was clean and the soaps provided had a nice aroma. I guess a bit of aromatherapy for your stay in NOLA. And check on that holder for the bathtub mat (photo). Nice touch!

Staff wasn’t the friendliest, but they weren’t rude. The cleaning staff was friendly and real nice. The best things going for this hotel are its location, cleanliness and reasonable prices. On my next trip to New Orleans, my hope is to score the Prince Conti once again at bargain basement prices on Hotwire. If not, I just might book the hotel at retail through its website! Laissez les bon temps roulez! Which is very easy to do in the Big Easy if you are rolling at the Prince Conti.

I decided to spend the twenty minutes I am waiting for my car to come back from valet to write a review. This hotel is awful. It's looks are very deceiving. The service is slow, their breakfast is less then appetizing and the walls are paper thin. If your lucky your neighbors will be quite when they come strolling in at 3:00 am and you won't have to be woken up by their awful singing. Which the hotel will do nothing about. Take my advice spend your money somewhere else.

The "free breakfast" consisted of large, doughy lumps which bore no resemblance to croissants, some muffins which we didn't try (but the occasional fly did, as they weren't covered up) and some so-so Danish, plus a bowl of apples hidden in a corner (but no knife to peel them) with a couple of half-dead oranges lurking underneath. Very disappointing.

We requested an inside room so that it would be quiet, and it was -- no outside noise at all. However, we were disturbed by other guests returning at 4:00 am shouting and laughing. Perhaps understandable in New Orleans. Our king-size bed was very comfortable, the room not at all cramped and the bathroom small but adequate.

We got great value as it was off-season rates, so probably shouldn't complain about the breakfast, and the location was great.

Nothing luxurious, no views to speak of, the rooms are small and spartan. But the hotel is clean, desk and housekeeping are tops, bathrooms are very good, free wi-fi, and the 1/2 block from Bourbon St. location can not be beat. I will stay here again on my next trip to NOLA.
