There were 3 of us in a two double bed room with a balcony facing Toulouse St. We chose the street balcony since we thought we would enjoy the outside activity. It was not an issue since there was nothing going on & nothing to see except for the hotel across the street. You could hear the noise from Bourbon Street(1 block away) & the garbage being emptied somewhere early in the morning. Our balcony was shared with another room. The room was spacious enough for the three of us & having the extra vanity area outside of the bathroom made it easier to get ready. It would have been great to have the extra sink there too & a solid door on the bath rather than a louver one. The staff was very friendly & helpful for directions, recommendations, etc. except for one of the guys behind the desk. (We don't know his name) The hotel itself had a nice restaurant, bar, beautiful courtyard & pool. There was also a street side cafe where you could just grab a cup of coffee & muffin & watch the morning activity if you didn't want a big meal. (keep your cup & drink free refills all day) The drinks at the bar were the most reasonable in the area, especially on Bourbon Street. You could not ask for a better location, steps away from everything, the market, shopping, great restaurants, & Frenchman Street, yet reasonable for being in the French Quarter. The parking is $30 a day, but since my van was 3 weeks ago, I was glad to pay for the safe & secure place. All of us said we would return again should we revisit New Orleans. However we would ask for a room with a private balcony on the courtyard side. Loved the place!!!

We spent a lot of timers searching where to stay in New Orleans, we kept looking at the St Marie. Called and spoke with Jen and she was great and we made a reservation. Pulled up to this beautiful Hotel and we were not at all disappointed! It is so adorable! We loved looking at everything here! Our room looks out over the street and we have a wonderful view of the French Architecture the French Quarter has to offer! The courtyard is beautiful! Bourbon Street is just 1 block away! Nice to be so close to all the action and yet be on such a beautiful quiet street! This place is a gem!

We had such a great time, the staff was so nice and the location is unbeatable. We stayed in the large suite which is, from our understanding, the best room in the place. It's a wonderfully nostalgic suite, a bit thread bare but that's pretty normal for the French Quarter. It was very clean and just had a lovely old charm. I think we're going to go ahead and book again for next Halloween.

Room Tip: The large suite is awesome, it has a terrific balcony that looks onto Bourbon St. There is also a fu...

Overall Id give the hotel 3 stars but I added a star for the downstairs restaurant and cafe, which was very convenient and the breakfast "Debris" was the best breakfast Ive ever had. As far as the room goes, I found the bed to be very uncomfortable. The pillows were very thin, the bed had a dip in the middle and there was no comforter. I could see right through the blanket that was provided. So if you wanted to use the A/C to get rid of the musty smell you basically froze at night.
My feet hung off the bed as well and Im only 5'8. Carpeting was a tad sticky and the bathroom was a little worn too. But as everyone has mentioned the location is great and we enjoyed our stay in New Orleans.

If you want to be near Bourbon St., this is a great location. It's about a block from Bourbon St., but far enough away you don't hear it when you're trying to sleep. We had a street facing room with a walk out balcony. The only drawback about this was we could hear the trash trucks at 3 in the morning. The noise was awful the first night. The next morning I mentioned it to the staff, and they made a call to the trash company. The rest of the time (3 more days) we barely heard them. I read other reviews complaining about the noise and the staff was rude. I find that in life, you get what you give. If you're nasty, you're not going to get the result you want. The room was larger than a standard room at a bigger hotel . The two of us could walk around and not bump into the bed or eachother. The bathroom sink area is a little tight for 2. Be careful in the bathroom as the tile is very slippery. The shower head could be upgraded as well. The staff was always friendly and greeted us in the morning when we left and the evenings when we went to dinner. It was hard to leave! When we go back to NOLA I would ask for a courtyard facing room.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room at night, ask for a courtyard facing room.

Very good location, at the corner of Bourbon St.
Large rooms but cannot open the windows (so a little bit dark and lack of fresh air) , a swimming pool and a good terrace (for breakfast, not included, or lunch/diner at la Vacherie which is a very good restaurant).
If you can choose, take a room with a balcony and/or not facing Toulouse St (could be noisy)
The only bad point : $30 per night for parking lot !

My wife and I stayed here for a long Halloween weekend. It couldn't have been a better location. It was half a block to bourbon street. The room was average, nothing special. Great thing was on-site parking.....at a price. Parking inNOLA is near impossible otherwise. The courtyard room was very quiet. The staff were extremely helpful. Weekday prices are much, much lower than weekend prices.

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard room.
