“Lovely Hotel; Perfect Location”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

What a perfect hotel! Our room was nicely decorated with a view of the French Quarter. The hotel is only a block from Bourbon Street-convenient to the action but a peaceful retreat. The courtyard is very nice. Tonya was pleasant and helpful at check-in. The beds were very comfortable, and I liked that the room had a coffee pot. We were traveling back from Vegas to Florida and got the "on-a-whim" deal. What a great value! We thought the room was worth more than twice what we paid. We plan on staying here again. Parking is $28 but is quick and convenient, and you have access to your car.

Rooms were very clean and comfy. no fridges but made a cooler out of our largest waste bucket!
Staff were always friendly and pleasant. Antoinette, the bar person is a great host for their bar! Location is the best, a block away from Bourbon Street, close but far enough away from the craziness. Took the city tour (3 hours) and it was awesome, had dinner on the Natchez.....$70 each but worth every penny! Food is delicious and the band was very good jazz. Rode the cable cars....., fun!
You can walk all over the French Quarter in an hour or less from this hotel.
If we go back to NOLA would stay here again and have already recommended it to friends and family!
Stayed in room 211, very nice room. 2 queen beds and a larger balcony. The only view was the balcony in front of us and a bit of the courtyard but we weren't bothered about that.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are the nicest and quieter, who wants to wake to to delivery and garbage...

We stayed here twice witin one week, couple with a baby. Arrived after midnight and there was no crib in the room although I asked for this 2 days before arrival with email and it was confirmed to be put in the room. Not what you when arriving late at night. The first nights we were accommodated in the building next to the hotel itself. You walk through the parking lot and the room there was pretty much run down and not well kept. There was extremely lound maintainance work going on all next day, so we were woken up by this in the morning and an afternoon nap was impossible, We complained twice also because the Wifi was not working in the room, but nothing happened, nobody seemed to really care. One worker flooded our bathroom with a water pressure pump for cleaning and other workers were able to look into our room so we couldn't open the curtain without giving up privacy. Only after sepeaking to the general manager he stopped the workers in the afternoon. I think it's inacceptable to rent rooms while this kind of work needs to be done. I would recommend not to accept rooms in the extra building anyway because the condition is not worth the money you spend. The night in the actual hotel building was better, rooms there definetely in better condition. Location great within French Quarter.

Loved the place. Only complaint asked for a room with a view, booked 3 months in advance .. No can do. Perfect location. Nice staff, bartender a bit of a pill.. Wanted to take our wine to courtyard, didn't like it.., but I would stay here again. Room actually was either too cold, or to hot, finally the day we left a man came to fix it,, who stays in room anyway?

I just returned home from a 4 day stay, and the best thing about this hotel is the staff! The location and price are great as well, but the staff here made our stay memorable! Tonya at the front desk saved our day when we got left behind by our swamp tour, she promptly booked us with a different company, made arrangements for our cab when we were leaving, and even took care of our bags after check out so we could enjoy our last day without worrying about them! Every staff member we encountered from the doorman to the maids and bartender were extremely polite and went out of their way to do whatever they could for us, and being in customer service myself, I understand how important, and even trying it can be. There was even a brand new employee ( only his 2nd day) who went above and beyond his duty making sure our needs were met. I cant remember his name unfortunately. Rooms are very clean and location is great, but we will stay here again due to the exceptional staff! See you in October!

My spouse and I stayed with our kids, 14 and 6, during the week. The location is great but I suggest you take a courtyard room rather that street balcony as it's close enough to the party scene to be woken up by revelers. Also, the garbage and street cleaning crew come by noisily at 3:30 and 5am.

The bathroom did not have a fan and it's door was louvered rather than solid which compromised privacy a bit. The two beds were small, a full size rather than Queen. Otherwise, a nice hotel within walking distance to everything in the French Qtr.

Room Tip: Get an interior room for a quieter stay.
