We stayed at the Hotel St. Marie for two nights in December and were very pleased with our decision to stay there. The location is fantastic - it's right in the French Quarter, just a few steps away from Bourbon Street so we were able to easily walk everywhere that we wanted to go.
We stayed up on the 5th floor in what seemed to be a newly renovated room - the furnishings were nice and it felt very classic "French Quarter," but the shower, tv, etc. were all brand new which is nice. I also appreciated the little "smart fridge" in the room that we used to chill our own beverages.
We also enjoyed The Vacherie (the little cafe in the hotel), and frequented it multiple times for both happy hour and breakfast coffees. The front desk staff was also great, especially Travis, who was a hoot.
The only downside was that there was noise from the renovations happening on the floor, but I imagine they'll be done with that soon enough and it won't be an issue. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to New Orleans.More
