Very stylish and the night ppl were great. Noisy water pipes. Bed are comfortable. Tv has a guide so I didn't have to just flip thru channels. Very helpful. Has standard breakfast. The room had a temperature control themostate all in all a good stay.

Room Tip: Our room was inside on third floor. There was noise from elevator.

Decent location but not well kept up. They don't spend the money needed to make it a nice hotel. One hotel elevator was out of service the weekend, our room not cleaned one night and not until after 5 the next night. Understaffed. Some staff friendly and helpful, some not. Not a horrible experience but if you're going to spend some time in New Orleans, you can do better for the money.

Booked here because we travel with our dog, but this LaQuinta is not like others. The first room that they gave us smelled like urine and body odor, the staff was very friendly and switched our room. After we got settled in the second room, we took the dog outside to do his business. Unfortunately, the alley next to the hotel only has a few dirt spots with broken glass and vomit in them. The hotel staff directed us to a park that is "two blocks" down the street, but when we got there it was taped off. There was no grassy area to be found and our dog will not go unless he is on grass. We ended up canceling our reservations there and moved to a Residence Inn.

Bottom line, don't stay here if you have a pet that is house broken and will only go to the bathroom where they are trained to.

My first room ( following a slow elevator wait and ride) was not made up - returned to desk ( Same elevator) and told the desk gal. She scowled and issued two new keys and told me the room number- nothing else. I said " IS that it? No apology, no 'sorry about that' or anything?" She said " I gave you an up-grade ok?" Then I had to ask for my elite member water and snack. she rolled her eyes , went to the back room to retrieve it and gave it to me without a word. The Room and stay was fine, She needs a fresh attitude.

My hubs and I checked in here late on a Friday night. I quickly had sticker shock over the price to park... $25 a day!! This was the difference between staying in a small town and NOLA. It could not be avoided, so I quickly accepted it and moved on. We were traveling with our Yorkie, Enzo, at a hotel for the first time, so I didn't really know what to expect. They put us on the 9th floor, which we affectionately called dog alley. It seems they put all those traveling with pets on the same floor, which makes sense b/c we are much more understanding of each other's random barking. This made me feel much better if we had to leave and he whined a few minutes.
I think that it is still very important that guests bring a crate for their pets to sleep in while at the hotel alone! While visiting a pit bull and beagle opened their door and got out to wander the hallways! B/c the doors automatically shut behind them it was unknown for awhile whom they belonged to. Pretty scary!
I would say there was a bit of urine smell to the air... But sense so many probably leave their dogs to roam the room for hours, what do you expect.
The location was within walking distance of all the good stuff NOLA has to offer. We did not use our car once in the 4 days we were there. That is a major plus.
The main thing I would like to see changed is GRASS!!!!! A wee bit of grass would go a long way. The designated pet area is pitiful. It is down an alley with bits of glass everywhere and dirt. No grass! We had to walk at least two blocks to a park for Enzo to find any relief. I did not feel safe going there at night so hubs took over that job...
All in all I would return here, Please, Please get some grass!!!!

PS- It was like a pot of gold finding a rolling luggage cart to take our many things to the room. They need more than one of these!

Worst hotel experience ever! Nasty, filthy, stinky room. Noise and rude guest who woke all the dogs at 3AM. Reported this to the desk. Apparently, "security" informed the noise makers who complained, because, rude guests upped the noise & taunted us through our door at all hours the remainder of our stay. Parking was supposed to be inside covered, but was across the street in an open lot, on a riser! Toilet did not function properly & bathroom was filthy. Had to ask for toilet paper, as there was one partial roll on arrival. Room stunk & made our eyes water. Wet spots one the carpet. Visible gunk & dust everywhere, including the vent on the ac unit. Breakfast was a joke & mostly gone by 8am. "Adjacent dog park" is a regular public park two blocks away.

The front desk staff was friendly, but not very helpful. I requested sheets for the "couch" twice and never received them. The wifi was too slow to read email. Everything else about the property was top notch. The property was clean, room was very comfortable and the breakfast was well stocked and available. I would stay here again if needing to be in the french quarter.
