Old No 77 is in a good location off Poydras, near the famous Mother's restaurant. The building is a charming set of renovated old buildings woven together. Finishes are nicely done, but the hallways are long, twisty, and narrow in places. The lobby is lovely and popular. The rooms are well furnished, although some might find the 'love boxes' in the minibar to be objectionable. My room looked over the alley behind the hotel, and it got noisy every night -- drunk people cursing loudly, delivery trucks beeping and banging for 30 minutes straight, etc. So overall, it's a cool and trendy hotel, but not a place for a quiet night's sleep.

Great location and staff. Minimalist approach to design/decor. Great use of spaces. Love the exposed brick here and there. Walking distance to many areas (if you don’t mind the heat). Coffee/tea/pastry presentation great. Coffee not great but expensive.

Found my new favorite place to stay in NOLA. Great central location, we walked to everything we wanted to see, eat and drink. Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff was superior, a special shout out to Melvin who helped us in more ways than one. Had an incredible meal at Compere Lapin...the hype is real! Can't wait until our next visit. Thank you to the owners and staff for delivering hospitality that we have not experienced in a long while.

The ONLY thing we didn’t like about his hotel is that the walls are paper thin and the floors creak so you can hear everything going on. BUT we absolutely love this charm, character and comfort of the room and the overall experience was excellent. The bar and coffee shop have delicious treats, better than the restaurants we visited out and about in NO. Highly recommend.

Loved decor and the people were awesome. Room was comfy and quiet. Initially bothered there were no windows but I ended up appreciating the darkness and quiet. I chose this hotel for the location and the restaurant. It was very convenient to the conference I was attending. But the restaurant, a James Beard award winner, was unexpectedly closed one night I was there and the other two nights I had serious issues with two of the dishes and had to send one back. (Not a personal taste issue but a food quality and freshness issue). Not what I would expect from expensive dishes in an award winning restaurant. Hence my four star rating.
