“More Buffalo than you know what to do with”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

Did this loop around 5 or 6 pm and toward the end we were in the middle of a herd of buffalo including calves. Just an amazing experience.

“Beautiful scenery”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

We loved seeing the buffalo as though it was 100 years ago. Spread out on the beautiful rolling hills made for beautiful pictures.

“Nice drive”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

This is a beautiful drive. Expect to drive between 25-35 miles per hour as the road are curvy and there maybe animals on the road. If you want a relaxing drive, this is a must do.

“No wildlife on the wildlife loop road”
Reviewed 2 September 2014

The wildlife loop road was kind of disappointing. I had hoped to see a herd of buffalo, or grazing elk, or maybe some deer...not to be on the day we visited. We did come across a group of about 15 donkeys that were wandering around on the road, trying to get handouts from the tourists.....that was about as wild as it got for us that day.

“Beautiful country, lots of animals!”
Reviewed 2 September 2014

The scenery would be enough to recommend this road, but we saw so many animals! A huge herd of buffalo close enough to the car that you could hear them biting through the grass, the obligatory begging burros sticking their heads through the car windows to get our carrots, pronghorns, mule deer, elk, and of course prairie dogs. There's a visitor center near the northeast end of the loop where they keep track of what animals have been seen where.
