I would stay here again definitely. The general manager made-up for the fact that the Eisenhower Room, our room, unfortunately.. was "used" by someone before we arrived. Evidently they leave the Eisenhower hotel room open all day for anyone to see because it is a historic room. Well on the particular day we stayed, someone had left the toilet and sink quite.... dirty I shall say. They were able to clean it for us, and give us some compensation which was appreciated. But I wonder if they should think about instituting a time at which to check the room for cleanliness and then close it off for the patron who is paying $240 a night to stay in it. Check I believe was not until 4, possibly 3. Couldn't the room just be open till this time?
Anyway.. dis-regarding that, it was a very nice, small room, and cool to stay where the President had stayed. The lodge I think it is a don't miss, whether you stay in a room or a cabin being a part of this Game Lodge in Custer State Park is worth it. We saw Buffalo and were treated with kindness by all of the staff. The lodge has resident artists, which I think is so cool, and it was great to see the their work as well.
