A beautifully appointed room with a very comfortable bed. The buffalo themed furniture was aesthetically pleasing and tastefully enhanced the atmosphere. So quiet and peaceful. Perfectly located near the wildlife loop and State Game Lodge where we enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinner. I would highly recommend this accomodation.

Loved the location and the tranquility that came with it! The location is spot on as being in the center of the Custer State Park, the Wildlife Loop is just a short drive away. Just had to walk a little and we could find Deer and Sheep grazing merrily without any fear - well unless you try to get too close for comfort!

The rooms are neat and clean, spacious and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and always eager to help. Had two fantastic days at the lodge. Being off-season, didn't get to eat at the restaurant but thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

We stayed at the Creekside Lodge in Custer State Park while there was snow on the ground in December. Keep in mind that this isn't a big old fashioned type of lodge lodge . The lodge is clean, well-kept and empty during the winter months. They were offering a winter special which made it more than reasonable! The staff was very helpful and friendly. A light breakfast is served in the lobby each morning and games are available to play in the evenings. Remember, it gets dark by 4:30 in December! We used the lodge as our home base while we visited The Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Jewel and Wind Caves National Parks. Another thing to remember is that during the winter months there is no food service in the park. In other woods, plan to either eat dinner before returning for the night or be aware that you will have to drive into Custer, about a 20 minute drive, to get something to eat. One day we brought chicken wings back and kept them in the refrigerator in our room, then later heated them up in the microwave. The lodge has two floors, but no elevator so keep this in mind when making your reservation.

Great value. Ok so if your lookin for a five star resort you might be disappointed. But if your looking for a sweet getaway this is the place. I have spent hundreds of dollars and not gotten a cuter room than we had here. Quaint. Close enough to everything. Nice porch. Great value. We will be back.

I have stayed at the Creekside Lodge at least ten times since it opened. Every stay confirms that this small lodge is perfect, especially if you visit during the winter months. It is comfortable, clean and provides the amenities expected of a lodge setting. After a day of wildlife viewing, I always look forward to returning to the lodge, where you can dine on a limited menu during the winter months, and a complimentary breakfast year round. During the winter months you will not see many guests, and that is my favorite part. It is peaceful and beautiful and just look out of the windows and watch the moon rise and view deer and buffalo from the comfort of your own room.

The location make Creekside! The rooms are clean, large and comfortable (and priced right!). The staff is mostly friendly and helpful (some were less knowledgable than others). But the location makes the hotel! We pulled in and drove right past a bison to get to our rooms! Our rooms look out over the creek and we heard critters walk by during the night! And for our morning exercise just walked out the door an onto a park trail...loved it! The biggest downside is the restaurant...the food, service and pricing left a lot to be desired.

Stayed here for 1 nite. Had a king room which was very clean & nicely furnished with a sofa & 2 overstuffed chairs in a rustic pattern. Had a wonderful lodge feeling. Quiet. Nice view. Had a delicious dinner at the State Game Lodge which is across the parking lot, Wildlife driving trail is less than 1 mile away. Got up early to drive the trail & then ate breakfast at Blue Bell Lodge. Breakfast is not included at the Creekside. Breakfast at Blue Bell was very good. Two drawbacks at Creekside: 1) upon arrival we found we had to go over to the State Game Lodge to sign in for our room, and 2) the staff at check-in were very disorganized. But these were really minor things compared to the great stay we had in the park.
