The lobby was really pretty, but looks can be deceiving. After the rather quick check-in for an outrageously priced room, we headed to the little outbuilding of suites.
It was really humid when we walked in, with a slight smell of mildew. I advise not to remove your shoes, or wear shower shoes because the carpet was either cold or wet, I couldn't tell. The TV's were large with a nice selection of channels, but those were probably the nicest things in the room. The beds, both in the main room and the room that made this place a 'suite', had no comforter or blanket. What the heck?! They were like double sheets. Oh well.
Well, for an expensive hotel, this place was not great. For starters, the shower/toilet room was really, really, really tiny. My family called it the 'prison cell bathroom' throughout the stay. At least there was this really weird door system in the suite so you could close the other doors and leave the bathroom one open, for space. In the morning, we found there were several really little beetles crawling around the bathroom. I killed them all. There was also no fan in the bathroom, just a small window near the ceiling (prison cell bathroom).
The water in the sink dripped all night long, and the mini-fridge was really loud. Aside from all problems, it was a place to sleep for the night. Albeit a very expensive night's rest...
