Just returned from Easter ski trip and have to say the SONNBLICK was so cosy with emphasis on personal service. The staff are charming and eager to make your stay comfortable and authentic - loved the traditional feel of the hotel and the uniforms. Food was excellent and plenty if it. Pool sauna and jacuzzi fab after a long day on the slopes. The hotel is spotlessly maintained. Highly recommended and we will return. Great location just near the free ski bus stop too.

Room Tip: Double aspect room on the corner with large balcony and mountain views was perfect and not as hot as...

Lovely hotel, great staff and excellent food. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, the swimming and wellness centre were well planned out and the hotel is well located close to town.
Made a great base to ski from, with the ski bus stop opposite the hotel, but would equally be lovely for a summer break.

Lovely Hotel! Would definitely stay there again. The food is good and Kapron itself is well worth a visit. The rooms are a good size and the hotel has a great atmosphere. No request is too much. A family run hotel with the visitors' interests uppermost.
Really good as will repeat.

Our family has stayed at the Sonnblick for many years now and every time we are always impressed with the great food and lovely accommodation combined with the warm welcome and fantastic service we receive from Michaela and every one of her friendly staff. We particularly love the afternoon snack after a long day of skiing and the relaxing spa room and heated swimming pool with views of the mountains - idyllic! Thanks again. We look forward to our next stay.

This is our second trip to Kaprun and Hotel Sonnblick. We can't recommend it more highly. The staff are so welcoming, the food is absolutely delicious, beds comfortable, ski room even has a boot warming rack! Ideal.

When you return from a long day in the fresh air there is the welcoming spa, outdoor pool (yes we used in in April!), sauna, hot tub and even waterbeds to relax and doze or read your book/magazine. We will return

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but to be honest, anywhere in the hotel is ideal

Stayed here for a week of skiing with our kids (aged 11 and 14) which we booked through Crystal who were also fantastic.
We were greeted with a glass of champagne and shown to our room which had been upgraded to a suite. Everything about the hotel was perfect- it was warm clean, the food was fantastic and the hosts were extremely hospitable in every way. There was a fantastic boot room with boot warmers and plenty of storage, and there was plenty of hooks and warm storage in the room too.
For the spa area we were given our own towelling robes and there were plentiful towels, and a lovely shower area down there too.
The outdoor pool was fab after a day of skiing- we especially liked swimming the first night when the snow was cascading down- what fun!
The only small disadvantage of the hotel was having to get the ski bus to the ski slopes. Although they were punctual they were always packed which meant standing in ski boots for about 30 minutes- not good. They were also very hit and miss in the evening, and we ended up walking home twice- I think that kaprun needs to sort these out!!
However, the busses are not the fault of the hotel, but may influence someone booking a ski holiday.
In summary we could not have asked for a nicer hotel than the Sonnblick, and we could not have been looked after any better than by Amelia and Rich from Crystal- thanks guys!

Hotel staff could not do more to make us welcome. Everything was spotless clean, food at the restaurant was way better than we would expect in a hotel restaurant. Outdoor swimming with views to Kitzteinhorn is amazing after day of skiing.
Tip on rooms: pay extra for Kitzteinhorn rooms, Kaprun rooms are facing the street which is quite noisy on Friday and Saturday nights with people going back from parties till very late hours.
