A great family run hotel, that will be hard to beat.

Location: on the outskirts of Kaprun on a quiet street within easy walking distance of village centre.

Facilities: We had two rooms adjoining one another and both were very well equipped and decorated in a tasteful, traditional Austrian style. The beds were very comfortable and offered a very peaceful night’s sleep. The hotel also has a Spa with a couple of Saunas, Steam Room and whirlpool. This is a peaceful relaxing area, not suitable for children as nudity is a requirement. The Spa is open each day between 3 and 8pm .

Food: We had booked on the half board option and the food was of a very very high quality. Breakfast consisted of a buffet with a wide range of food – fresh fruit, meats, cheese, cereal and breads. The evening meal was a five course meal consisting of salad, starter, soup, main and desert. The salad was self-service from a buffet, the main was a choice of a meat dish, fish dish and a vegetarian option. Sunday is a gala dinner expanding to eight courses with the inclusion of a fish course, sorbet and cheese board. All of the food was of the highest standard

Service: From the first welcome to the final Auf Wiedersehen all of the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful, which made the whole stay very enjoyable.

Conclusion: The hotel owners are always visible and like the rest of the staff are very friendly and always willing to provide help and advice. The level of service and the quality of the hotel and food made this a very enjoyable holiday and we will be returning.

One of the best hotels in the world I have ever visited. It's really amazing. The furniture is modern, the staff were nice. The riverside view room was brilliant. I liked this hotel and I will visit it back whenever visited Kaprun again.

Can´t praise them enough, best breakfast I have had in a hotel and dinner was excellent too.
Real, healthy, delicious food, no shortcuts taken in the kitchen. The rooms are spaceous, clean and tidy, the staff helpful and friendly. I would like to stay there again, thanks :-)

For a hiker Austria is a country very close to heaven. Having enjoyed the austrian hospitality for many years in different hotels in different parts of the country you have built up pretty high expectations. For us, a group of 31 hiker, Hotel Kaprunerhof succeeded to top everything we have experienced before. The hotel is situated at a quiet side path with a direct view to the glacier Kitzsteinhorn and through the window you hear the birds singing and the river wispering. You become a part of this magnificent nature. In only 3 minutes though you are in the cozy center of Kaprun where you can step on busses heading for different directions. Due to the fact that the hotel is a small one everything becomes directly familiar to the guest. You are not one of thousend guests. You are THE guest. The athmosphere is relaxed. Every single part of the service though has a top quality. The rooms are inviting and bright, the beds invite to a refreshing sleep and the bathroom very comfortable. The breakfast was always bigger as the stomac, tasty bread, first class charcuterie, lots of temptating cheeses and fruits. And the menu each evening different, 5 courses, appetitive and enjoyable for the senses. The spa was clean and gave a good relax according to what was promised - and a first class massage came on demand. Last but not least is the staff of this hotel. They make all the difference. They manage to be professional and personal at the same time in a very agreable manner. Every wish you have is no problem - and a problem finds a solution. The hospitality comes from inside. The mountain guides with whom they cooperate are excellent in all regard. Top profies and wonderful persons. All together: We are all looking forward to our next visit and stay in Kaprunerhof! Thank you all you lovely people.

Room Tip: We warmly recommend the panorama suite in third floor and in fact all the rooms where you hear the river.

the stuff is perfect, food is very good . Good location and if you have the panorama room, you can see the Kitzsteinhorn from the balcony , amazing view.
4 star hotel, pricy, but for Austria and for the location and for the service you get , it is OK.
Better than the others !
