Just at the top of the Sonnenalm Cable car, Blaickner's is a popular place for lunch, indoor or outdoor. The views are stunning, and if the sun's shining, it can be quite warm.
They have both a waiter service restaurant and a self service restaurant, so chose which suits, we normally go for the waiter service restaurant, especially if it's snowing as the inside is very nice, with a super fire going.
The menu has probably fewer options than other places on the mountain, but there is still plenty to chose from. The Tyroler grostel is one of the better ones, but it's served on a plate rather than in the metal pan, which is slightly disappointing. Service is very good, and the food and drink arrive fairly quickly after ordering.
Also highly recommended for a mid morning / afternoon hot chocolate.
