We stayed at the Glocknerhof for two nights over the weekend. The hotel was chosen for its vicinity to the Areitbahn (lift), but also for its wellness facilities. Only upon arrival we were told that most of the services would not be available on Saturday as this is usually the day for departures / arrivals. Even on the other days the sauna would only be operated from 4pm onwards.
We were lucky and got upgraded to an appartment which was spacious, but the furniture was very basic. Not a hint of atmosphere or alpine charme.
Breakfast and dinner were served as buffets. There was sufficient choice (e.g. three different mains for dinner), however we felt as if we were eating at a professional caterer. Staff was mostly a bit late with replenishing, but generally courteous and attentive.
Conclusion: Despite the rate no 4**** product!
