The Reblaus has undergone a number of management and staff changes over the past few years which has left the food and the service a little unpredictable but I'm glad to say that it is most certainly back on track. The Reblaus has long been established as the place to go to eat in Alpbach so therefore it's reputation is keenly observed by regulars and visitors alike.

The Reblaus has two eating sections - the old romantic part with its stone alcoves and cosy corners and then the new bistro which is chic and stylish. We sat in the bistro. The staff were attentive and took our order in good time. A complimentary bowl (small) soup arrived and an appetiser which was a nice touch. My husband ordered the onion soup who h was very good. It had one large cheese covered crouton and a very good and rich soup. The size which perfect. For the main I had the prawn risotto which was very impressive - two huge prawns/langoustine followed by a very decent sized portion of risotto. My husband had the pizza which was with local speck cheese. Original and very tasty.

We shared one bottle of wine and our total bill came to €50 which I thought extremely reasonable. The restaurant now also does an extensive range of steaks which I have been told are also very popular. Overall most impressed and a must if your andin Alpbach in my opinion.

On our last night we went walking thru Alpbach looking for a quick light meal and after checking a few menu's outside the other resturants, we decided to give Reblaus a try and we are so glad we did. From the moment we walk in the service was impecible and the food was delicious.

Our party consisted of 5 people, 3 Adults and 2 Kids (10 and 5). The menu was written in both German and English, and as we are from Australia, our German is a little rusty. We all decided to order only mains as we were not overly hungry.

Our drinks order was taken promptly, and delivered. Then we ordered our meals.
Whilst waiting for our meal, we were served a complimentary bread with a seafood spread/dip. We order the house red and it was very nice. The vodka drink ordered was perfect as well.

Our meals were delivered, on our table was Stuffed Chicken Breast with homemade tomato spaghetti, Spare ribs with pickled cabbage and Mixed meat kebab and kids had the homemade fish fingers with mashed potato. Each meal was presented on large plates with side salads and presented beautifully.

We all devoured our meals and each of us were utterly delighted with our choices. The drinks kept coming, but the services was not pushy at all.

We were so happy with our mains that we decided to give deserts a try. We sampled the crepes served with hot choc sauce and icecream, creme brulee and chocolate mouse. Once again the presentation was wonderful with spun toffee added for effect.

As our meal came to the end the manager offered us each a glass of schnapps, once again free of charge. This was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal.

The cost of the meal was approx 110 Euro for 3 main meals, 3 deserts, 2 kids meals, 4 glasses red wine, 2 vodka drinks, 2 scotch drinks, and 4 softdrinks. Great value
