The Reblaus has undergone a number of management and staff changes over the past few years which has left the food and the service a little unpredictable but I'm glad to say that it is most certainly back on track. The Reblaus has long been established as the place to go to eat in Alpbach so therefore it's reputation is keenly observed by regulars and visitors alike.
The Reblaus has two eating sections - the old romantic part with its stone alcoves and cosy corners and then the new bistro which is chic and stylish. We sat in the bistro. The staff were attentive and took our order in good time. A complimentary bowl (small) soup arrived and an appetiser which was a nice touch. My husband ordered the onion soup who h was very good. It had one large cheese covered crouton and a very good and rich soup. The size which perfect. For the main I had the prawn risotto which was very impressive - two huge prawns/langoustine followed by a very decent sized portion of risotto. My husband had the pizza which was with local speck cheese. Original and very tasty.
We shared one bottle of wine and our total bill came to €50 which I thought extremely reasonable. The restaurant now also does an extensive range of steaks which I have been told are also very popular. Overall most impressed and a must if your andin Alpbach in my opinion.
