Nick, Yana and all the staff went out of their way to please us on our stay. An amazing place that I would recommend to anyone - we've just been back for the fourth time and will be there again next season I'm sure.

This place is quite simply awesome. I was over for a 50th Birthday and am normally used to apartments, self catering and off piste. Well... what a brilliant change. From the moment we all arrived to the moment we left Nick and Yana could not do more to make sure we had a good time. everything was laid on to perfection; Guiding, nightly entertainment in the fabulous Cave Bar, 3 course meals- all excercuted to perfection. The staff were brilliant and the whole feel of the place homely and warm. As a seasoned skier- I cannot rate the Staffler highly enough.... it changed where I will go skiing in future years. Top show! I just need to be fitter next time.....

There can't be many places in the Alps that have ever hosted an impromptu Elvis convention, a black tie dinner and a bouncing Irish night in 3 days whilst still managing to get everyone skiing and fed with great food.Somehow Nick,Yana and their fantastic team managed it without breaking sweat. The welcome is warm, the accomodation is comfortable, the service is excellent and the social life is brilliant. You'll feel like an old friend as soon as you walk through the door and, as you leave, you'll already be planning your next trip back!
Niederau isn't the biggest resort but it's got a cosy feel and there is some great local skiing and easy access by road to the larger villages and towns nearby. Ski hire is reasonably priced and the equipment is of a high quality whilst the 'All Star' pass covers all the major lift systems .
Roll on next year!!!

Stayed through the new year celebrations. First visit and great from start to finish. Very friendly welcome from Nick, Yana and the team. This is a good hotel with excellent value accommodation, good wholesome food and a fabulous atmosphere. Good breakfasts with Suffolk Bacon and egg baps available to give you a good start to the day! When you get back in the afternoon after a good days skiing, there was fresh made cake with any drink purchased. Lots of Hot water for aching muscles and an excellent atmosphere in both bars. The Cave is something else, and if you want to see the entire valley and mountainside lit with fireworks, go at new year. Amazing! Thanks Nick, Yana and the entire team for a fabulous memorable break and ski. You will not find a friendlier hotel.

I went to this hotel everyday during my stay in niederau to have a few beers, play pool with my kids or to watch football on sky. Nick Brooker, the manager, is one of the friendliest and down to earth people I have met. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I entered the hotel to the day we were leaving. All of the staff working behind the bar were really friendly and went out of their way to help you. I ventured to this hotel the last time I stopped in niederau, 5 years ago and was made to feel really welcome then which is why I returned there this time round. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone going to niederau as you won't come across a more friendlier atmosphere whilst you are there.

It was a pleasure to serve you and your family most afternoons during your stay - your good self, the wife and two boys if I remember correctly.

I hope you decide to return to Niederau and stay at the Staffler this time.

Just returned from a short break at the Staffler hotel where you can book for any number of nights - not just for one week. It's a well loved hotel (slightly weary looking in places), but that is more than made up for by all the English staff and in particular Nick and Yana who's enthusiasm and hospitality is second to none. The food is good, the beds are OK, the bathrooms are a little old but it's the ski guiding and the options available to all skiers which is the lure. If you are beginners you will have a lovely time in Niederau village and it's about a 4 minute walk up to the nursery slopes and some reds and a black run. If you are the stamina, then you may be lucky and find that Nick or Yana or one of their colleagues offer you a ski guiding day! It will be fast, furious and fun! It may involve getting up at 6.30am, leaving at 7.15am and skiing your socks off, but that is interspersed with lots of local knowledge, many laughs and above all, being taken to the best snow in the area and the best restaurants for pit stops and lunch!

After skiing you can either take in a hot chocolate or gluwein and a cake at the hotel or can start the partying! Again, depending upon your stamina this can go on until the early hours down in the Cave Bar when one has to make that difficult decision on whether to set that alarm for 6.30am! DO - the guiding is a must!!!!

All in all, we have had the most brilliant 'full on' weekend. Supper is at 6.30pm for everyone, and if you don't get back in time, then you miss it! Everyone sits in quite close proximity in a colourful dining room (slightly school dinners style) and invariably gets talking to each other!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a romantic get away but for families and friends it's great!

Room Tip: Ask for 2nd or 3rd floor at the back, then you may not hear the church bells in the morning!

Thanks for the great review! The Snow Angels is a great group of like minded ladies who return year after year - and it just seems to get better. As we always say it's not about the building but what goes on inside!!
