I stayed here for one week in February with my 11 year old daughter in a twin room.

The hotel is family owned and run, so is very friendly. All the staff seem to work on the ethos of looking after us ... you can't really ask much more than that.

We only speak English and most staff spoke excellent English. We had no problem communicating.

The room was a great size for the two of us with seating area and a balcony over looking the valley. There was plenty of storage space. It was cleaned well and there was a turn down service each night. The cleaner was really friendly.

We had a half board package. The meals were excellent. Both my daughter and I enjoyed the variety of the food and the choices that were available each night. The staff in the restaurant and the bar were fabulous.

The hotel is at the bottom of the Grosse Karbahn lift. There is a flight of stairs to this lift. There is also the junction in the Hochgurglbahn I and II cable cars nearby. Therefore, from a skiing perspective the location is fantastic. You can catch another cable car to the Obergurgl ski domain.

In this area of Hochgurgl, there are about 6 hotels with restaurants and 2 ski shops. Nothing else. If you want to go into Obergurgl town during the day it is easy to catch the Hochgurglbahn to the base and then get the shuttle bus into Obergurgl. After 4pm, you will either need to drive or get a taxi.

We loved it and we would chose to stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a room with a valley view

The hotel is great, every evening meal had been excellent and they have some great wines, the friendly staff and always helpful and will do their best to accommodate your every whim, we had a two bed apartment which is spacious enough for a weeks skiing, beds are a bit hard, fabulous location with amazing views, this is our 3rd year, it's perfect for the kids and had excellent instructors, we will probably come again next year.

I've experienced three wonderful ski weeks here and am returning again. The family hospitality is warm, geared to making sure guests are taken care of. Cuisine is superb, with dinners including local products and game, breakfast buffet is wonderful, and lunch on the terrace excellent. There are fine Austrian wines and beers to choose from.
Spa facilities—sauna, herbal bath, steam room, pool, lounge area—are included. Ski rental from local shops is easy, ski school excellent. There's also a gym for workouts or yoga practice.
I couldn't hope for a better accommodation.
Angerer Alm is in Hochgurgl, so I don't understand why it doesn't appear in trip advisor's listing for Hochgurgl.

Just back from a week's skiing. Wonderful family hotel, with quite the friendliest staff I've ever had the good fortune to come across. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the food is simply superb. I, and my family, will be back.

Room Tip: Will happily arrange adjoining rooms to suit families

My wife and I just returned from Hochgurgl, and couldn't have been happier with our trip. The staff at the Angerer Alm were professional, pleasant, and accommodating. The half board is a great deal, and the food delicious. I have to give a special thank you to the entire wait staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Hochgurgl is a great place to unwind, and focus on skiing. The location of the hotel, right beside the Hochgurgl lifts, was perfect.

Room Tip: South facing rooms will give you a view of Obergurgl and the valley.

We have been staying at the Angerer Alm for skiing holidays in November and April each year for the last fifteen years. It is family owned and run. The accommodation is first class and the food is fantastically good. Some steps to go up to the lift, but you can arrange to leave your skis up top if you wish. This is an extremely good ski holiday location.

It is very modern, the food is like what you would find at a five star restaurant. The Rooms were very clean and the beds are very comfortable and after a long day of fun you can top it of with a nice spa treatment or a whizz in the jacuzzi. I would love to visit again.
