Visited this hotel for a week in March for skiing. Loved it. Lovely room, excellent food. Very convenient for ski bus and lifts. Family very friendly and hospitable. Some evening entertainment. Met people there who had been to the hotel 14 times!

We were really worried when we booked this hotel as it was our 1st holiday that was not a ski in ski out hotel. No need to worry. It was actually better. Buses were regular and empty. Straight out of the boot room door onto the bus and off at either Obergurgl or Hochgurgl within only 2 minutes. Hochgurgl was our favourite for skiing. Even at half term the pistes were not crowded,
some runs were even empty. Most we waited in a queue was 2 minutes and everyone is so polite with no one pushing in.
The hotel was amazing with different food choices every night. All of the finest quality. Salad bar was delicious. Certainly the best ski food we have ever had.
The hotel was spotless. We had 3 rooms and all were extremely spacious and comfortable.
The cleaning staff were lovely. In fact all of the staff were amazing including the receptionists and the restaurant staff but especially Yani , behind the bar. The bar area was spacious and inviting and the whole hotel was no smoking, which was great. Wine prices were very reasonable
and the tap water was free.
Over all we had a fantastic holiday, with great company and we would definitely go back to this hotel.

Yes the ski bus stop is by the front door and within a couple of minutes you can be at the Obergurgl or Hochgurgl gondola lift . We stayed February half term week and we were impressed with the service from the uniformly friendly staff. Family run with multinational staff there was never a language problem and totally non smoking inside the hotel . Bar service from Yani was outstanding and prices not outrageous . House red wines(3) are all good as is the local wheat beer . The restaurant head waitress is from the Dominican Republic - Heidi - is a real gem - attentive, funny, friendly, multi-lingual and you can trust her to guide you through the wine list . The food is typical for the region/resort and plenty of choice . We never had a poor meal . The Gala dinner can be a bit slow . Spa facilities are good - of course spotless . Textile free area or family sauna/ steam by the pool where swim costumes are allowed . Ski -room has heated boot warmers and a TV monitor showing bus times and time to next bus . Our room (205) was spacious with sitting area and balcony overlooking the forest to the rear of the hotel . No noise - very peaceful. Bathroom a little small . Any obergurgl lift pass over 5 days can be upgraded for 1 day in Solden for 10 euros ( free ski bus 20 mins each way)- this is a vast area but be prepared for queues in half term - best to catch the earliest bus . Good news too for over 60's - cheaper lift passes ! You can also buy day tickets on 11/12/1/2 starts on graded rate . Really no bars or rowdy après -ski at all . The hotel owner is generous with his home made schnapps and offers guided walks . He is always about keeping things running smoothly and playing on his new snow moving machine. Most enjoyable .

Everything in this hotel was satisfactory. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. There's a nice wine collection and the breakfast and dinner are excellent (one evening we had to return the fish dish because it was over salty – but that is OK – we understand that the chef is in love).
The sauna area is commendable: 90 degrees centigrade and cool drinks and fruits in the rest area.
I'd like to sign off with speedy recovery wishes to Magdalena: Hals und Bein brechen! :)

After a long mountain bike ride from Imst it is a bit of a climb from Soelden. But the hotel is perfectly located to climb the next day the Timmelsjoch (about 13KM, 800hm). The Wellness area is fantastic, i loved the cooled served drinks and the fruit (free of charge). The dinner was excellent, yes the drinks where a bit more expensive than in a German Biergarten but not extra ordinary. The room for a single person was refurbished, not a last room somewhere inside but with balcony, seating "area". The only negative was: there was a zoooommmmm at night the whole night, I couldn't find where it was coming from. Overall I can recommend this hotel as a stay for the AlpenX, and yes you can part your mountainbike .

Stayed at Muehle for a week in March 2013. This family run hotel is probably the most friendly I have encountered, really felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was also excellent with a large varied menu.

The hotel is located about a km from Obergurgl but the bus stops literally at the front door, they are very regular and pretty empty.

The rooms are large and well appointed and have been recently refurbished.

All in all a lovely week and the head waiter, Berhard, recommended some excellent wines. I am sure we will return.

Room Tip: A front facing room has a much better view of the valley.

Stayed over Easter - 2 adults and 3 children in a family room. Food was very good; staff very friendly. Nice to have a pool and sauna in the basement. Bus is very convenient for the ski slopes ... But cleary not the same as being right there! Hard to fault.
