Small family run hotel. Very efficient, pleasant staff. Good food. Nice spacious accommodation with balconies and full satellite TV. For ski hire book online through Intersport - next to hotel. Easy on-ski access to lifts at both sides of village. Not exactly ski to door but only a very short walk down a lane. Handy for ice rink but a steep walk down to village centre - but not much in the village centre anyway. Mountain huts - Neider hut loud music of all genres to entertain everyone - good fun and easy ski back to village after a few drinks, also David's hut approx easy 20 min walk (or taxi 10 euro) and shorter on the way back to Regina across the piste - traditional Tyrolean band great fun, god mix of people. Skiing - some good pistes but too many roadway links. With good snow some nice off piste. Snow guaranteed when other reports struggle. No queues.

This Hotel is in a great location with fantastic food and service. We had a really enjoyable ski trip to Obergurgl and would recomend staying at the Regina if visiting this lovely Austrian village. The owner Gunther and staff made us feel very welcome.

Lovely stay at the Regina. This hotel is the cleanest I think I've ever stayed in, thumbs up from a clean freak, even the boot room was always immaculate. The food was excellent, the gala evening on the Sunday night was a lovely surprise, a chance to meet fellow guests and a great meal. The food was first class every night and lovely breakfast too. The barman, waiter/waitress were all lovely, great attentive service. Location is great, ski hire available right across the street at inter sport ( we hired from the village!) a short walk to the ice rink and you can ski either right or left to gondolas that take you up the mountain. You can ski almost back to hotel too.

We have not long returned from a weeks skiing holiday at the hotel Regina. The hotel is spotlessly clean, friendly and the food was out of this world. The hotel is ideally situated as it's only a stones throw from the slopes and only a short walk into the little town.
We were so impressed we have booked to go back next year. Highly recommended!

I shared a room with my son and found the hotel to be exactly as billed - the food was excellent, staff very friendly and efficient, and our room both comfortable and spotlessly clean; great value for money.
The family who run the hotel was always present and encouraged the gustes to mix and socialise. We normally don't, but were so glad we did as our stay, and the social skiing we enjoyed made for a lovely week; we made some really good friends.
The piste is not even two minutes walk and you can ski back to the same spot, excellent, plus we were blessed with bluebird days and great snow.
Congratulations to all at Hotel Regina, we'll definately return!

Room Tip: Our room was basic, but comfortable and clean. We didn't have a balcony but really didn't mi...

Just returned from a week's skiing. Hotel is comfortable , but average for similar 4 star Austrian hotels we have stayed in. However despite ordering soft drinks with dinner every night we were charged 3.60 Euros per litre of TAP water- when querying this we were told that "tap water is only free when ordering a bottle of wine. None of our 6 party family drinks. Also charged 9 Euros each to use a bathrobe to get to the spa jacuzzi and not told until the bill arrived! Hotel has a small bar but no lounge and smoking is allowed which made the place out of bounds for us non-smokers.Don't EU non-smoking rules apply in Austria? Staff were a bit intimidating and we were pressured everyday to vacate the room for housekeeping service. Food OK but lots of raw meat (often recuylced for breakfast) and excessively creamy courses- not ideal to all palats. Could have been a nicer experience.

My family and I went to Obergurgl for Christmas and stayed at the Hotel Regina. I have nothing bad to say about the place. I would recommend it to anyone. I'm a little high maintenance when it comes to hotels and this satisfied my in every way. It's family owned and they are very nice. I like how quaint it was. It was smaller but I liked that you didn't have to walk far. Some hotels can be to big. It was like you had your own little house. Dinner and breakfast are included and the meals are like you are at a 5 star gourmet restaurant. The spa was very clean nice! Go to obergurgl its the most beautiful amazing place!
