Located centrally, but importantly off the main sometimes rowdy main thoroughfare (late at night), this is a splendid traditional building which radiates warmth and quality. I have planned to stay here for years and finally made it in April 2014. We had a junior suite which was excellent. The owners are welcoming as are all other staff. One main advantage for us was the lack of 5 course evening meal!! Previously we have always stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels Half-board. After an afternoon of Après ski revelry up the mountain, sometimes getting through 5 courses is the biggest challenge of the day. I will go again

Our family had an amazing week in St Anton just before Christmas last year 2013 . Staying at the HImmlhof made it all very special. Sebastian and Margherita are exceptional hosts.
Very smart 2 bedroom apartment with great facilities for a a family of 4. We all loved the hearty breakfasts and substantial afternoon snacks. My 5 and 6 year old children
were truly spoilt by all the wonderful staff .
We loved it so much, we re- booked for next season before our departure !!

Very nice stay for a week at Himmlhof in St Anton. Quiet location, yet in the middle of the village. Very friendly and serviceminded owners and staff. They offer "free snacks" in the afternoon, that are more like a small meal. Good massage. A true gem!

Room Tip: WE had a nice doubleroom with a walk-in wardrobe where you could get rid of all your skiibg clothes...

My extended family and I just returned from a 7-night stay at the lovely Himmlhof and could not be more pleased with our accommodations. After an overnight flight to Zurich followed by a 3-hour bus ride, we arrived at the inn to the warmest of welcomes from Sebastien, Margherita and their fine staff. We were first shown to our adorable, spacious and meticulously-clean room, and then served a delicious 4pm snack of wurst and apple strudel. Within hours of our arrival, it was clear to my husband, children and me that we would be well-fed during our stay. We awakened each morning with excitement in anticipation of the breakfast buffet, an amazing spread of freshly baked breads, croissants, cereals, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, eggs, bacon, juices and more. Throughout our stay, our every need was met. From arranging a guide for off-piste skiing to restaurant recommendations to confirming our transportation, Sebastien and Margherita were always available to assist us. We enjoyed getting to know them personally and truly felt that we were guests in their home. The Himmlhof is well-located just one block off the main-drag in St. Anton and a brief walk to the two gondola stations and the Arlberg Express bus stop. Aside from a day-trip to Lech which involved taking a shuttle bus, we spent the week traveling by foot and by skis. My husband and I highly recommend the Himmlfhof hotel and hope we have the privilege of returning there in the future.

Stayed with four friends for a short skiing break. Excellent hotel, with great hosts. Well-located. Great food. Fantastic wellness area - made up for the poor quality of the afternoon snow! Would return if we go back to St Anton. Also firmly recommend the Arlberg-Well spa centre and Pub 37 (great Guiness).

Our entire family recently had the pleasure of staying at the Himmlhof last week and it exceeded every expectation I had. Margherita and Sebastian and the entire Himmlhof staff were amazingly warm and the loveliest people to host us. You can tell they take great care in every aspect of their hotel. I will truly miss the daily 4pm apres ski snacks hour and 7:30 am breakfast feast each day. We couldn't ask for a better location: the bus stop was literally around the corner, the Galzigbahn was a 5 minute walk through town, and the main street was a block away. We brought our 7 month old daughter with us and as a new mom, I was nervous about our babysitting options abroad. However, Margherita and Sebastian set us up with a wonderful lady, Monika, who helped babysit while my husband and I skied. Overall, they took care of us tremendously. We hope to return in the future!

I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I came back to St Anton. Location is perfect; 5 minute walk from the train station and 50 meters from the main street. Close to everything (lift, sports center, restaurants, supermarket...) and yet quiet. Our room was large and well appointed. Wooden floors, large bathroom, balcony and walk-in closet. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. The service is excellent. The owners and employees go out of their way to be both friendly and efficient. Breakfast is very good, and the ladies who serve it are terrific.
We also enjoyed the sauna and relaxation area, as well as the afternoon snacks.
The only thing that I would change is the internet service. It was quite unreliable and there were some odd usage limits (even though we only used for emails and basic browsing). Also, pick a room that faces the sunny side and on a top floor. Our room was quite dark most of the day and had no view, which is a bit of a bummer. But there seemed to be rooms that would have more light and a mountain view. All in all, though, we had a great stay.
