This hotel has everything. We stayed 3 nights and the overall feeling is great.
They have friendly staff and all the food was amazing. They help you with free taxi and you fell like a king!
I will go back next year!!

We stayed there in February for a week and I couldn't recommend it high enough. There were 12 of us in our group but only 2 of us in the lux.
First the negatives which there weren't many.
It is a bit out of the town which with the shuttle bus isn't mainly a prob but if you like us enjoy the après you'll need a cab to get back after they could do with running it a bit later. The jacuzzi was broken for our week. And we got told off for wearing swimwear in the sauna after some Germans complained which didn't bother us as we just stripped off the next night but I can imagine some people not being comfortable at being naked in front of strangers.
Now the positives.
Although there are many the top of the list has to be the food. It's absolutely stunning, nice breakfast with a great selection and you get 6 courses every night soup followed by a starter then a salad bar then a choice of three mains fish/meat/veggie then a dessert and cheese board. The quality is superb and is one of the best I've had in a hotel.
The rooms are great really big for a ski resort and well laid out and it was nice to have a bath for us older boarders who need a soak after a hard day on the slopes.free wifi it only just worked and we were on the second floor so not sure if you'd get it on the higher floors.
The staff are fantastic and really make an effort to get to know you personally and nothing is to much for them.
All in all this is a fantastic hotel and although I haven't stayed anywhere else in St Anton you'd be mad to not to stay here if you want to go to this resort in particular.

Spent a week here late in the season and was really pleased with our choice of hotel. The hotel is clean, modern and uniquely furnished in a stylish but simple way. The hotel is just a short walk to the lifts but also runs a shuttle service in case you have worn yourself out on the slopes. An arrangement with the Ski Shop means you can leave your boots/ski's at the bottom of the lift and head straight for the bars/cafe if that's your thing. The highlite of the hotel was the food and restraunt service. Extensive buffet breakfast daily and then a 5 course gourmet delight every evening - quality not quantity. The bar and restraunt staff were particularly attentive and once you make your preferences known they could be relied upon to do their best to keep you happy for the rest of the week. Very much a family run hotel with Owners very much involved and interested in your comfort. Everyone friendly but not pushy - just the right balance for us. If you want a 5 Star Hotel experience then maybe not for you but if you like something smaller and more hospitable with comfortable rooms, good food and friendly staff then we would recommend this hotel.

The Lux Alpinae is leagues away from what you might consider a traditional alpine hotel. Forget quaint decor, chintzy furnishing, small windows, varnished wood and stuffed animals. Think minimalist chic, clean lines, expansive glass, even an indoor climbing wall across the whole back wall of the hotel from ground floor to the roof, all combined with carefully selected pieces of vintage furniture to add warmth and individuality.

The rooms are bright and reasonably comfortable. If I had a complaint it would be that the beds aren’t great, the towels could be softer and the yellow walls in the bathroom are a bit off-putting, but aside from that there’s plenty of space and the rooms are warm and well, if minimalistically styled.

So, that’s the look. Now the service. The service is superb. The staff are absolutely first rate – warm, attentive, engaging and fun. The ladies in the restaurant are wonderful.

We stayed half board and both breakfast and dinner were excellent every day. The dinner menu changed daily and there was always a choice of 3 mains, including a delicious and innovative vegetarian option which kept my wife happy. The menu was an eclectic blend of both traditional Austrian dishes, with world cuisine, the chefs passion for cooking shining through in every dish.

Over the years I’ve realised that value for money decreases with altitude, Lux Alpinae is pricey, but then so is everywhere else.

A very good hotel that deserves its high tripadvisor rating.

Room Tip: It's not a room tip, but a general tip - the train from Zurich or Innsbruck arrives direct in th...

I went for a ski week with my girlfriend. The location in very convenient, 5 minutes walk from the main lifts and even a shuttle bus in case you don't want to walk, the view from the balcony is very nice and the decoration is very charming. The food was one of the best features! Really good place to chill out after a ski day, and a great dinner and breakfast. No regrets at all. Very friendly stuff.

It is very rare that you come across service staff and food which is this good. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The breakfasts were perfect and we then spent the days on the excellent slopes looking forward to yet another sumptuous dinner, all perfectly cooked seasoned and presented.
The rooms were just as we expected, and the whole hotel had a warm feel.
