I had the pleasure of attending a sleepover with 40 other seasonaires in January many years ago, we put up with the grumpiness of hard worked staff, but that night, we had a party to remember. After it snowed all night, we woke up to breakfast at 8 am, a noisy restaurant, lots of hubbub, still hazily dark in the valley below. Suddenly, the rising sun struck a local peak, and it was if the floodlights had been turned on, and to our utter amazement, the air was full of ice crystals, it was magical, absolutely magical. The restaurant was plunged into an unnatural silence as 40 or more hung over seasonaires and the Ulmer Hutte staff, marvelled at the view before them and no one dared breath less the spell be broken. 30 years later, my spine still tingles, and tears fill my eyes at the memory of such natural beauty. I beg you to stay at the Ulmer Hutte for just one night, in the hope that you will be lucky enough to witness a scene of unimaginable beauty that will fill your everlasting memories with pleasure.
