“Greatest ski trip ever”
Reviewed 31 January 2014

My friends and I (7 of us) stayed here from 14th-21st January 2012, upon arrival we were greeted by Mario the owner and offered some beers while we waited for the room as we were slightly early, Mario explained it was a self service bar and to let him know what we drink and we can pay at the end of the holiday which was a lovely touch.

We were lucky enough to have the penthouse and as soon as we walked in we were taken back by the most amazing view looking over the valley and town. The open plan living area was brilliant for a group. The apartment was also very clean and great value for money. Although slightly out of the centre (1km) it only cost a couple of euros each in a taxi in the evening if we missed the free ski bus. Mario the owner was so helpful and friendly. We couldn't have been happier with the stay, i will always compare my ski trips to this particular place. Thank you for such a memorable holiday and hopefully we will visit again in the future.

Room Tip: If you have a group defiantly go for the Penthouse (see images)

I stayed only one night but I really like tocome back.
The appartements are located far from Solden center near the edge of the village. Is a very quite area with nice views. The appartement I stayed had two bedrooms a very large terase , two bathrooms and a dining room with kitchen included. Prices were really good for the condition offered. The onlyproblem that I see is that in winter is a little complicate to reach the slope ( bus stop is a litlle far aprox 800 meters I think)
The receptionist was very helpfull and nice.

We have just spent a week in these appartments. We had on of the large ones to sleep 4/6 people. We had 2 bathrooms which was great and yes the showers are fab!! Tele in each room although the TVs in bedrooms didnt have all the channels the mainTV had, delighted to find BBC 1 and Channel 4! Few bits missing in the kitchen but Mario was quick to lend us a kettle!! They are about a 5/10 minute drive to the centre of solden... in the summer it would be a pleasant walk but not in winter . The ski bus stops close by although we didnt use it at all. Mario was exremely helpful when it came to recommending where to ski and which lift had the least queues. The sauna room is fine but a little hot for us wimps and it would be nice to have a steam room but never mind. With big plans in the pipe line for an extension and restaurant it will make the location perfect. A great place to stay for a family with supermarkets close by ( by car) to stock up on groceries.Would definately return.

Room Tip: If you want the sunshine ask for a room onthe south side.

My husband and I first went here for a spontaneous weekend and have now been back again. Lovely place, very friendly (they already know us, although we've only been there twice), with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The shower is really cool (radio, various types of jets from various angles), although it does leak a bit. We particularly enjoy having the comfort of a hotel, with the convenience of a large kitchen, where we can cook together and enjoy a glass of wine.

We particularly love it in September/October, with the hiking (beautiful, but don't overestimate your own abilities), although the weather can be iffy. On both rainy and beautiful days the "Aqua Dome" is excellent. About a 15-20 minute drive, a great sauna and swimming pool complex. The A CASA staff can get you a discount on tickets if you book through them.

We're already looking forward to going again next Fall.

We enjoyed a great week in the Ötz valley in this beautiful (new, only 3 years old) apartment hotel. The young inkeeper Mario greeted us warmly (and immediately by name) and was very helpful the whole week (since he is not always at the reception, understandably so, you can get him on his mobile pretty much all the time).

We had booked a bigger apartment which turned out to be super roomy, with a great balcony and fantastic valley view. There is a sauna in the basement, our we had 3 TVs in our place (each bedroom and one in the kitchen), though compared to how new and shiny everything else was, the 14 - 15 CRTs looked like antiques. The showers are just fantastic (built in radio, all kinds of water and steam options)

If you want you can take advantage of the bread roll delivery service (which we only did once, since we had not stocked up on food yet)

I'd be very happy to return to this friendly and beautifully appointed place anytime. Beware that when the house is full, roadside parking can be a bit iffy.

The biggest flaw I found was that the fridge does NOT have a freezer section, which I find very important when I plan on doing self catering for one week. Maybe they can set up a big freezer in a common area with room numbers on each drawer.

The wi-fi internet is 3€ per day or 15€ for the whole week, which I found to be a very fair price.
