Beautiful hotel with genuinely friendly and accommodating staff.
Location pretty good, close to Supermarket and bus stop, although a good 10 minute walk uphill from the town centre or lifts.
Meals were wonderful - enormous breakfast buffet with breads, meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurts, tea+coffee, and even bacon and scrambled eggs. Evening meals with 4 courses including a great salad buffet. One evening we missed our bus and got in after dinner time had ended - the dining staff insisted on feeding us regardless.
Room was comfortable and spacious, with mountain view and wonderful shower.
The best feature of this hotel for us however was the wonderful Wellness facilities. There is nothing better than coming in from a long day's hiking and getting straight down to the underground grotto shower with rock walls, then doing the whirlpool, sauna, and steam room, then reclining with a book for a while in the relaxing area before dinner. There is a stunning swimming pool as well but we used this less as it was busier and not long enough to do proper laps.
The hotel must have spent a fortune building these facilities and the result is amazing. We had a totally relaxing stay and would definitely go back.

Stayed: July 2009, travelled as a couple

We spent a summer week in this hotel with my oyfriend. We booked a double superior room with a view to the mountains. It cost a lot, but it was worth it! Especially the mountain view, unobscured by anything (the hotel stands on the top of the hill). The room was 35 sq m (bigger than my flat), so I was positively surprised with the size of it. The bathroom was large and clean, too.
The staff is very nice and friendly - as usual in Austria, the they are scared to speak English, but somehow we managed to communicate. One of the waiters is also a good barman: he made very good drinks!
The fitness area is well-equipped. The swiming-pool is small- just enough to relax, not enough to swim in. Next to the pool there's a nice covered sunbathing terrace.
I really enjoyed my stay there.

Good hotel at the southern end of the village, so doesn't suffer from Solden's noisy nightlife. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, many with balcony. Seemed very popular with families - possibly due to the good discounts for more than two in the room.
"Wellness area" has a small shaped pool 1.4m deep with water and air jets and large area for loungers, also sauna, gym, hottub etc.
Food was plentiful with a decent selection on the buffets and a choice of main courses (you make your choice at breakfast). Heated rack for drying ski-boots in the skiroom.
To get to the skiing you have to take the frequent ski-bus, or else drive down to the lifts (large free carparks).
We were impressed and will certainly be going back sometime.
