Stayed three times in this fantastic property. This is probably one of the best alpine hotels. You can sky in the area from mid November till mid May. Last time I stayed in this hotel was November 15-20. The hotel was not busy and the service was good as always. The rooms , the spa, the interior design of the hotel are warm and pleasant. Food is great and staff is helpful. Highly recommend for skiers. from December till the end of March you can use the lift behind the hotel to access slops. Until december and after March you can use Gigijoh lift located in 10 min driving from the hotel to access higher slopes and glacier.

This place was written up in NY Times and yes, it was that good. An upscale ski resort hotel that was extremely efficient, well maintained. We made great use of the cigar room and also the apa. There is a ski rental place in the basement which is convenient.

This was my third summer Holiday at the Bergland and I was a bit disappointed by the decline in the service level. The variety in the menu was quite limited (compared with two years ago) and room service was not adequate to a 4-star superior level. Rooms are Always very nice and the spa/wellness area is one of the nicest I have ever been. The impression, however, is that the owner is a bit underinvesting in the staff and the meal. I also found quite unacceptable to be charged €4.90 for a 0.75l bottle of still water at the hotel restaurant.

Dear Mr. Labienus66,
thank you for your comment and the critic. The search for points in which we have to prove is very important for us. We will try to find out where the loss of the quality in the mentioned arguments has been and try to improve them again. It is a pleasure for us, that you like our SKY SPA so much.
We hope you will come back and give us the chance to show you our, normal very high, quality and service level.

With best regards,
Your Hotel Bergland Team

P.S.: Try our delicious tab water at your next stay in our hotel. It is very healthy and for free also.

We have been fortunate enough to stay at some very good hotels over the years but none compared to the Bergland. We spent four days walking and mountain bike riding in the hills around Solden and returning to the hotel each night felt like coming home. The buffet breakfast and fantastic dinner was a great way to start and finish each day, and a break in the pool, spa and sauna each afternoon certainly soothe the aches and pains. My wife enjoyed using the Sky Spa for a massage after our days out and our son loved being able to climb the rock wall in the hotel grounds.

The three stand out points that made the stay one our best was the excellent and varied facilities, easy on the eye design and (most importantly) the knowledgeable and friendly staff (who all spoke very good English). I would highly recommend a walk with Simon and Jano, massage from the Sky bar crew, sauna after a long day and spending time lying on the deck watching the world go by.

We will be back during the ski season because the Bergland felt like home as the staff did not treat you as a customer but rather one of the family.

Dear Family Hutcheson,
thank you so much for this great comment. It was also for us a pleasure to welcome you at our hotel. However the best is that you have had the “homecoming”- factor at our house and that you have tried so much of the possibilities the mountains are offering. Also Janos and Simon were pleased to hear that you have felt as comfortable as you did during the walk and wanted to thank you for all the compliments.
It is great for us that you enjoyed your holidays so much and at the end there is just to say that we would be pleased to welcome you once more in your home and make our family complete again.
Kind regards

We stayed at the Bergland hotel for our ski vacation in February this year. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco after a 3 hour drive from Munich airport. Throughout our 1 week stay we met helpful staff everywhere, especially in the restaurant.

We stayed in a Bergland room with an extra bed and the room was spacious, modern and very nicely decorated. There was a large bathroom, and good space for all our equipment. The Bergland hotel was very child-friendly without being overwhelming. It would work great for couples, etc as well.

Extraordinary breakfast buffet, and the halfboard dinner was excellent with a different theme every evening based on local and high quality produce. Own children's menu when requested.

The spa and pool area was modern and clean. The skiroom facilities were great, located in the in-house skishop. It was just a short walk to the Unterwald lift.
The hotel manager gave us many useful tips for skiing areas and lunch restaurants in the slopes. The Solden skiing area was great, both for youngsters as well as intermediate skiers. Great restaurants in the slopes.

I think it will be a hard finding a hotel with the same level of service, quality and modern facilities as Bergland hotel. I would love to go back!
