We stayed three nights in the end of July. There are alot of good things about the hotel but also a few things that will not make me come back. The rooms are spacious and clean. The Hotel overall is very clean. I would rate the service 1-5. The service in the spa was great, at breakfast we also had great service by one of the waitresses. We came to have dinner at 20.40 (20.45, according to the waiter) and we were told the kitchen closes at 20.30 and we could not have dinner. In the guestinformation guide it says clear that the kitchen closes at 21.00 (for a la carte, that we were doing). And when i call them back regarding this they deny what is written in the information guide!!?? and say, "sorry you are 15 minutes to late". Thats how you treat your customers that spends your money in the hotel right? Many of the staff just have the wrong attitude towards the customers in this hotel. Some of them are really nice though and deserves to work in a hotel were they really care for theur customers. This hotel does not.

We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of February and we really enjoyed the whole experience. The hotel is not even five minutes walk from the ski lift that brings you up to the slopes (but it is still a very quiet and relaxing location). They offer complimentary and safe storage for the skiing equipment. Furthermore, parking in the underground car park is free (important with those low temperatures recently) and free internet. Our room was fabulous and even though it was facing to the inside courtyard, we had a great view to the mountains south of Solden. The food was excellent both for breakfast and dinner. We had booked half board but a "Wellness-Jause" (Buffet with a wide choice of light foods in the afternoon) was included as well which we enjoyed after coming from the skiing slopes and before going to the Spa. The use of saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzi and swimming pool is complimentary as well! We loved the whole layout and feel ot the hotel which might be a bit cliche but suits the location. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay at the reception, in the restaurant and in the Spa. All in all it was a perfect holiday and I can only recommend this hotel!!

Room Tip: Our room was called Montani Suite, it was not the cheapest but well worth it!

Record snow made other ski towns inaccessible, but Solden was open and the Castello had a room free 2nd week of Jan, so slightly off peak.

We were really pleased with the hotel, the rooms were huge, and comfortable.

The spa is amazing the inside/outside pool is fantastic.

Breakfast and Dinner were excellent, and the hotel bar is not ridiculously expensive.

The staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. We extended our stay and they were really accommodating.

Location next to the lift is really convenient and the hotel ski locker was a really treat, clean tidy and spacious.

can't recommend this place and Solden enough.

Room Tip: I had a ground floor room with a view of the lifts.

We visited this hotel with the 3 kids for a skiing trip. The location is simply great: you're a 5 minute walk away from at the main skiing lift, yet located in a quite area.
We had a 2-bedroom family suite Rosegg 60 m2, which was perfect to accomodate the family. WiFi is available. Rooms are clean and spacy enough. Some more storage area might be useful, though. There is a ski deposit room in the cellar, with heaters to dry ski boots, very practical.
Food quality is very good, with quite some variety throughout the week. Also very convenient is the "apres ski" afternoon, when a snack is offered in the restaurant for hungry returning skiers.
There is a babysitting service in the evening, so you can enjoy dinner while the kids are being entertained. Indoor and outdoor pools are very attractive for the kids.

Room Tip: Family suite

Travelled to Sölden for a late ski break with family - this small family run hotel is just across the wooden bridge from the skilift to the Middlestation - we had daily lessons so being able to store skis, boots etc up the mountain made sense with small kids. The hotel is new(ish) and has all key amenities for families, playground, pool (out/in), inside play area. Restaurant and food hearty and appropriate for outdoor exercise ! The staff were excellent - especially Franzi, Martin, Charly and Mark - all did their bit to make our family stay in the Hotel Castello Falkner memorable and hopefully repeatable. The only downside was the beds, which even for doubles were 2 x singles. I was impressed that in the afternoon that coffee, snacks etc were laid out when we returned from skiing. Even the nice lady who cleaned our room made an extra special effort of arranging the kids soft toys to surprise the kids each afternoon - I believe this is called going the extra mile. We will be back.

Room Tip: Ground level if you have small kids

Just spent 4 days at The Castello Falkener, rooms were lovely & location for the lifts excellent. Apres ski in Solden is great fun.
Great breakfast served from 07.00 so you can be first on the lifts, and spa for relaxing is top quality.

We (my husband and 13 year old son) stayed for a week in Castello Falkner to ski. The location is good. It's a short walk to one of the main gondela's (there are 2 different ones in Solden). The rooms were spacious (rooms 217 and 218), quiet, and each one had a nice balcony. In general service was good. Unfortunately there was no wifi in the room although the Internet could be accessed with a cable.

We didn't particularly like the 'feel' of the hotel. It was a bit 'kitsch' (with painted on ornaments etc). What we really didn't like was that all the meals were included. The food was just average and we did not enjoy the music evening or gala dinner.

Overall: it's certainly not a bad place to stay but too expensive. It would be a big improvement if it would be possible to book without all the meals included.
