Good hotel. Great food, particularly good meat dishes. Decent sauna. Close enough to the village amenities. Ski bus stops right outside the hotel. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

The skiing in Soll was great and quite an expansive area now.

This hotel is exactly what we wanted for our group trip skiing, central to everything, warm, food was good (not great, but good!) and friendly staff! Would return to this hotel! 5 min walk to slopes, two minutes walk max from pubs! Wifi in bar downstairs only, none in rooms!

We had a great stay at this hotel and it had everything under 1 roof! All the staff were amazing and looked after us suberply (especially Calire in the bar). Nothing was ever too much trouble. we stayed half board and the food did not disappoint 3/4 courses in the evening and good selection on the buffet in the morning. The facilities were great; boot/ski room, upstairs bar and a bar downstairs, 2 pool tables, table football, pinball machine. More than enough to keep the kids occupied.
The room was on the smallish side (although I've seen UK estate agents call smaller than this a double!)and I can forgive the slight cracks in the wall as it was kept immaculately clean everyday and we had a balcony. Also, we spent little time in the room (only to sleep) as we skied every day and enjoyed the Apres ski that was on offer in Soll. We will definately return!

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of the Travelsphere group. We found no problems with this hotel, althought the room we had was a bit on the small side but had a lovely balcony. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff extremely friendly, especially Maria the owner and her husband Manfred. They were very welcoming. The meals were lovely - one night they served pork which I cannot stand and Maria made sure I had something else instead. She was very accommodating. The view from the room was breathtaking. The village of Soll is lovely with bars and restaurants (not that we needed the restaurants!). There is a cable car which takes you up one of the mountains for fantastic views. We were touring around Austria so didn't get to spend much time in the village of Soll. One thing I would say is it would have been nice to have the other bar open in the hotel with the pool tables in (apparently they are only open during winter when the skiers are around!). There is not much to do at nightime in the village if you are not a drinker. On our last night the village held their festival with various stalls and live music - this was very entertaining and welcome. Maria gave us all free Schnapps on our last night as a farewell and her goodbye was very sincere. All in all a great hotel. Thanks Maria.

A friendly and welcoming hotel in a great ski resort, the Hotel Austria was the perfect choice for a lads holiday.

There is a great bar on the ground floor which serves food and snacks like pizzas and was were we started a night out.

There is another, quieter, bar on the first floor next to the restaurant. But on occasion it would be full to bursting with guys whenever the young barmaid from downstairs was rostered upstairs.

The food is very nice and equal to just that found in just about any other restaurant in Soll. Although I originally booked a room only decided to pay the very reasonable £15, or there about, per meal.

Breakfast is a mixture of cold buffet and cooked and the staff were still happy to serve me when I came down late with a hang over.

There is a lift to take you up to the rooms which are en suit and a reasonable size with a TV and balcony. Doors are operated with a key card.

Another plus is free wifi which has a reasonable strength throughout the hotel and was capable at downloading large apps.

There is a bit of a walk to the ski lifts but the free bus stops outside the hotel from early in the morning.

Travelled with DirectSki for the first time but would have no reservations about doing the same. Hotel was in an excellent location ski bus stops outside the spar shop less than 100 yards away, which run regularly, first bus 8:20am. Good tip pay 14 euros and leave your ski equipment in the ski shop under the gondola, do not use the other ski storage which Thompsons/crystal use, still a long walk. Hotel food was good, except the basis/cold breakfast. Room clean and reasonable standard, however if you like a lie in ask for a room away from the church. Bells ring 80+ times at daylight, good alarm clock and great if your an early skier.

Highly recommended for singles or couples, probably not so good for families due to room size and food.
