This hotel/guesthouse is well placed within the town. The rooms are very small but there is lots of storage space so we were able to unpack everything and put the cases on top of the wardrobe. The buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful and the staff soon remembered everyone’s preference for tea or coffee. You have to select your evening meal from a choice of 2 in the morning and everything was delicious. The included (on Ighams holidays) packed lunch was sparse: a dry bread roll with one slice of meat, drink and a biscuit but there is plenty of opportunity to purchase food at the gondola stations or villages. Be aware Austrian hotels do not provide tea/coffee facilities in the room so you may wish to take a travel kettle.
If you fancy a drink at the end of a long hot walk the Spar shop has cold beer in the fridge, the larger supermarket MPries by the main road does not. The lift pass is good value and with the free bus to other villages there is no need to do the same walk twice. Varied activities are available organised by the tourist board or tour rep.

I stayed at the Eggerwirt Hotel in Soll, as leader of a 17 strong ski group. We found the hotel excellent. Rooms are not the largest, but were very clean, well furnished and warm with a nice bathroom, beds were very comfortable. We had room 306, the only fault with it was that the shelves were right at the top of the wardrobe and you had to stand on the bed to reach them, but thats nit picking. Rooms also had a table, two chairs, flat screen tv and a nice good sized balcony with a good view. Food in the restaurant was very good with a choice of dishes which you select from a menu at Breakfast. Breakfast was a very extensive buffet with lots of choice. Claudia the owner is excellent, very nice and friendly and was helpful with room requests etc. The hotel has a bar, drinks were well priced and a comfortable lounge. It does seem to be a problem if you want tap water with dinner, understandably they like you to buy bottled water, but if you purchase a wine or beer then tap water is no problem. The ski bus stops right outside the hotel, the timetable takes a bit of getting used to with 2 or 3 buses about 8.50, 1 at 9.00 am, 1 at 9.10, then not one to 9.35. On an evening we had no problem getting buses from the gondola between 4 & 5pm right back to the hotel. Overall the whole group was full of praise for the hotel and staff

A two minute walk to the centre of Soll and the ski bus stop right outside the door. Good menu choices throughout the week, the food was very good and room very clean and comfortable. We were a couple travelling independently via train and bus from Innsbruck, main bus station is a five minute walk from the hotel, if you are unlucky on the slopes there is a doctor across the road! Would definitely recommend to families and couples.

This Hotel, although small is excellent. Very comfortable, clean and welcoming. The staff are unbelievably friendly, kind and helpful. The food is excellent, which can be difficult as i am a vegetarian. In fact the food was so good the only place we ate in the resort was this hotel. The main Gondola is a 10 min walk or a quick spin on the ski bus. Great pub around the corner too. When i go back to soll i will be staying in this hotel.
Sincerely,
Irish couple. Boom!

Stayed in July, last minute booking. I had read about the Eggerwirt when looking for ski hotels & now definately would love to return to ski.
The whole Hotel has a nice relaxed & efficient feeling to it, Claudia was always happy to help.
The rooms were very comfortable, ours had a large bed settee for a 3rd person & you wouldn't feel cramped in the spaceous room. The room was kept in top order, quite honestly we felt as if we could have been the 1st couple to stay in it.
The meals were very good, especially because my wife is a coeliac, they reassured her that she'd got the right meal.
We hired the Hotels mountain bike for a ride to Lake Hinterstien See, which were nearly new & well maintained.
The Hotels position is well situated for all activities, lifts, shops & buses.
Had a really great week, would love to return.
