Stayed last week and had a great time. The fantastic food is only matched by the service. All the staff are very friendly and make you feel most welcome. The hotel is a good location about 50 yards from the Zürsersee lift and 50 yards from the bus stop that will take you to Lech or St Anton. Zurs itself is very quiet and very little in the way of shops or apres-ski. Which is what we wanted.

Beautiful hotel with great rooms, lovely sitting area and bar. Wonderful meals and located adjacent to ski lift. A true family run hotel where every detail was attended to including transfer to and from train. Absolutely lovely people that made our trip very special, we were sad to leave.

For what we wanted, this was a near-perfect hotel. It was right near one of the large chairlifts in Zürs, and just as close to the frequent, free bus into Lech. The basement had a ski room with a heated boot rack, as well as a sauna, steam room, cooling-off room, and showers. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the dinners were very good. The menu for this hotel and 5 others was posted in the morning, and we were told that if we preferred to eat a particular night in one of the other restaurants, that could be arranged, I believe without additional cost. Service was excellent, and was what really made the place. For example, if I came down in the morning before breakfast was open, I was automatically brought a cup of my usual cappuccino. The rooms were clean and quiet.

More of a recommendation than a criticism: The rooms were quite warm at night, and the comforter as well, so we turned the heat completely off and opened the window most of the way. Also, if you're looking for nightlife, Lech would be a better choice than Zürs. But after a day of skiing, a steam, and an excellent meal, we were happy to be in bed before 10:00. Getting old. :-)

Just returned from a week's hol in this fabulous family-run hotel. Due to injury we were unable to ski after second day. From arrival we were stunned by the excellent hospitality, kindness, staff going way beyond their basic remit to ensure all our needs and wants were met. They even served a daily late afternoon delicious soup and cake snack (at no extra cost) which meant that we didn't even have to go out for lunch after the injury occurred. We were loaned DVDs, had doctor's appointment made for us and log fire was lit mid afternoon to warm those coming in from the slopes. We were even invited to the extensive wine cellar to enjoy a tasting session. Employed staff were extremely personable and polite as was the Crystal rep who also went out of her way to help us - e.g. returning skis to shop in her car.
Zurs itself is small and pretty with one small souvenir shop and nowhere within walking distance to buy comestibles. Fortunately we did not miss this because the hotel met every need. Pity they close for Summer as it would be a wonderful base for a Summer walking holiday as well.

We chose this hotel for our ski holiday to Austria.
We arrived very late after many delays. We were welcomed by the owners who had arranged for us to eat in the restaurant despite it being well past their normal hours. This set the scene for the rest of the week. Nothing was too much trouble for this charming family.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel is charmingly appointed. Breakfast was very good and dinner well prepared with interesting dishes.
Service throughout is relaxed and efficient.
Skis and boots are stored in a heated boot room.
There is a sauna and steam room for those aches and pains after a days ski-ing. The Hotel is very well placed for the local area practicaly ski in ski out.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

My husband and I and our 1 year old son had a simply wonderful time at the Hotel Erzberg in Zurs. Perfect location in the understated yet thriving town of Zurs, which is an easy 5 minute drive from the larger, more bustling Lech. The Hotel Erzberg exceeded our expectations with its extremely friendly owners & staff, beautiful, spotless rooms/public areas, and exceptional food & wine. We would definately return and highly recommend this property for travelers looking for a family friendly, warm, charming four star hotel in Austrian alps. We only stayed for three nights but most guests were on week long holidays and many repeat visitors. We live in London and travel for business and leisure regularly. We constantly remark how Austrian holidays are simply fabulous. This hotel is a secret gem. The website doesn't do it justice.
