“No. 1 charming hotel in Rousse”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

High ceilings, great breakfast, wifi, convenient and plentiful parking. Big balconies and quiet location. Amazing service! Highly recommended. Around 50m from the Danube. This was my first visit and I will definetely be back here if I am back in Rousse.

We got to this hotel following trip advisor great recommendations. They were right, this is a great hotel in western standards.

We satyed in room 15 a double room with a porch. We stayed for 5 nights (business and pleasure). The room was perfectly clean. Clean good smelling sheets, Lots of space. Modern design. Seems brand new. Complementary 2 bottles of waters and snacks. Mini bar. Air conditioning, The room was cleaned every day and towels exchanged (even at days we left the hotel only in the afternoon they did it when we wrer gone).
Breakfast was at a nice room, coffee, juices, different types of chees and sauseges. cereals and granula, panckes, jams, butter, boiled egg. Basic but really great.

Location right on city square and Danube river.

Staff was super nice: they allowed us an early check-in and late check_out free of charge. the were also helpful in giving directions.

Some reviews mentioned noise, we didn't notice any problem with noise.

Stayed at this hotel for one night and cannot fault it. It is conveniently located in the centre, close to restaurants / museums etc. It is located in a very nice, restored building which has been wonderfully repurposed and decorated.

Reception staff were very nice and helpful and were able to speak English. We were given a map and various restaurant cards that enabled a 10% discount on account of staying at the hotel.

Like the rest of the hotel, our room was beautiful and immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable and the large windows were fitted with extremely good blackout curtains - which resulted in a fantastic night's sleep! Breakfast the following morning was very good. It consisted of a buffet served in a very nice little breakfast room on the third floor of the hotel.

Overall, a very nice, professional boutique hotel with extra attention paid to the little details - such as complimentary bottled water in the room. We were even given gifts upon checkout ( a nice postcard of Ruse and a small bottle of white wine)!

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning ourselves whenever we have the chance.

Stayed there for 1 night during the weekend and I was positively surprised by the calm efficiency of the staff. I enjoyed the quick and professional phone reservation, followed by a two-minute check-in. Upon arrival I was allocated to a lovely room No.13 in the first floor fearturing a balcony, which is shared with the room next door (it was not occupied at that time, so it was okay for me:). By booking a room each guest is entitled to a 10% discount in 3 different food and beverage outlets nearby, which was a very nice surprise and it was greatly appreciated. The room itself was very clean and well appointed with a big comfy bed and 2 complimentary bottles of water, plus 2 chocolate sponge cakes if you faal for sweets. The bathroom was very clean and functional, although the showerhead needed urgent replacement due to being worn out, badly bruised and beaten for, obviously, falling on the ground in more than just few occasions.
In the morning I asked the front desk for 2 espressos and I got 2 hot aromatic coffees delivered to the room in less than 5 minutes, free of charge! The breakfast was served on the top floor and was not extensive but very adequate for a city hotel with great coffee! Finding the breakfast room, however, could be somewhat challenging if you are a first-timer there.
The check-out was as quick and efficient as could be and left nothing to be desired in that respect.
Now for the negatives, although very few but worth bringing them up to the attention of the management:
There was an unpleasant odor in the hallway leading from the main entrance to the front desk doors, coming from the public restrooms belonging to the adjacent night club or the Chinese restaurant (not sure which one and frankly, didn't care much).
You could hear the bass vibratiions coming from the night club in the underground but this was not the hotel fault and I guess there was hardly anything they could do about it, so I wouldn't blame the management for that.
Overall a very good stay. The hotel deserves the 5-star rating for trying its best to accommodate its guests with no hassle and complications and mainly for its efficiency and friendliness. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ruse and I will definitely look forward to staying there again in the future!

Room Tip: Rooms with balconies are a great choice!

The hotel is close to the Danube and not far from the center; in an old building, really well renovated. We were there for only one night. Our room was wide and brand new; both in the rooms and in the corridors the walls are decorated remembering you the name of the hotel. Very nice staff, friendly but professional and helpful. Highly recommended for an overnight or weekend stay

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and it improves every time we go. Very central position 2 minutes to the Danube and 5 minutes walk to the central square surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants.
The rooms have been re-furbished and are immaculate with everything you could need inc hairdryer, free wi-fi & air-conditioning. The restaurant is now a Chinese and has guests travelling an hour from Bucharest in Romania for dinner. Unfortunately the cellar bar was closed for renovations this time but it is a great place for pre or post dinner drinks and cocktails. Would highly recommend this hotel, the only thing that lets it down slightly is the state of the toilets in the public area and the breakfasts...but would still stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms 13 & 15 have an adjoining balcony, ideal for friends/family travelling together.

Stayed here for one night. The hotel is close to all amenities i.e. centre and the Danube. This is a small boutique hotel in a renovated old building . The rooms were spacious and more than adequate. What really makes the place is the staff who are always helpful and friendly. Food options are a little limited but there are plenty of great places to eat in Ruse so this isn't important. Highly recommended for an overnight or weekend stay.
