“Joshua Tree Retreat Center”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2012

This retreat center is nestled amid beautiful grounds, buildings designed by descendants of Frank Lloyd Wright. Groups rent the space, buildings are older but kept in good condition. Rooms are mostly doubles or triples, some with shared baths.

Very beautiful area, + buildings for meditation, tai chi, yoga, etc.

“Joshua Tree National Park”

i went there with a friend from work , we drove there , of course it is usaully very hot and it is a steep drive but apon arrival at this tremendous park , over 700,000 acres is vast to say the last but if you are looking for peace and quiet and a remote place to go rving or camping this is the aswer to your prayers . lots of interesting sights but not all are obvious , binoculars are a must to view birds and other wildlife that easily blend in with there surroundings , during the heat of the day they are often out of sight but as the sun dips they come to life , quails , jackrabbits , hawks and many other animals usual hunt at night . also i noticed many people rock climbing , not my thing but an excellent place to enjoy this activity , loving the outdoors as i do i enjoyed my visit to this vast park and intersting park , i remember the extreme quiet there , no traffic , planes not even telephone poles to spoil the view .

“Absolutely beautiful place to take pictures and do some hiking and rock climbing if your so inclined.”

I've been to Joshua Tree before to hike and loved it then so it was a repeat performance. We were too early to see wild flowers this time but still the rock formations are breath taking.

Huge park, we hired a guide which enhanced the experience many fold. It was the second trip for my girlfriend in less than a year. What more can I say? Bring lots of film or memory cards...
