We stayed in hotel for a long weekend and travel around a lot which was fine because hotel is old and has only basic to accomodate your needs. Two good things about it are position and view from balcony. Food is very avarage although staff is nice and traying to cater your every need. And as far as wifi connection forgot about it , it was Easter weekend and when I asked about it they told me it is too early and they didnt have time to arrange it because they just opened hotel for the season. If you are at all spoiled do not go there your are going to be dissapointed.

The hotel is easy to find, it has good parking facilities and is located almost on the beach. There is no air-conditioning in rooms so it can get hot in the summer.
Rooms are pretty basic and the furniture is quite old, there is no refrigerator in the room. But if you plan to spend your time on the beach and only use hotel to sleep in, than you should be satisfied.

Room Tip: Sea-view is really nice so do try to get romm with sea-view.

I am a spoiled American! I was traveling to Hungary and we decided to go to the coast in Croatia for a few days and stayed here. It was hot, VERY hot and there is no AC anywhere in this hotel (this is not unusual in this part of Europe however, so many people didn't seem to mind or even care). It was unbearable for me and my husband, who has just recently become a spoiled American. We went into town and couldn't even buy a fan. Sleeping was miserable. And the "full size bed" was 2 twin beds pushed together; no fitted sheet, just a sheet thrown over the 2 inch thick mattress. There were no toiletries, except one small bar of soap that they never even replaced. The towels were thin as paper and rough. No ice, so I couldn't even drink a cold glass of water. Parking sucks, there is hardly any and we had to park up on a sidewalk where someone was never happy with us. Some positive things about this hotel are as follows: there is breakfast and dinner buffet included in the price of your stay. The food is not bad, however no drinks are included except at breakfast. It's right on the water and if you have a sea side view, it's beautiful, even the other view is not bad. They have an ocean water pool, that looked nice, but we did not go. The location is good and centralized.

If you want to have a nice seaview, Hotel Varazdin is probably a good choice ! But it's the only advantage of this hotel.
The hotel is noisy, you've got a night club next to the hotel (on the side of the swimming pool, which is not the swimming pool of the hotel !). Without any air-conditionner, you can forget : so do it !
The hotel is not clean (I called the room service to clean the top of the toilets, they didn't do it...).

And about the price, we could only book with halfboard we weren't interested in, and the price was absolutely not interesting !...

The hotel is so old that you can probably imagine that it's from the middle of the communist era. If you like this period, just go to visit , you will find a paradise...

And if you want more details :
- the glasses of the balcony of the restaurant's terrace are broken
- the guy who cleans the courtyard makes so much noise at 7:30 AM, and launches his cigarette in the flowers
- the cleaning begins before 8AM in the bedrooms, and you just can hear the vacuum because the door of your room is very thin ...
- the carpet in the room is even not sticked, so it makes crinkles...
- there's a swimming pool in the hotel, but it is always empty...

And if you pass in selce and see this hotel, go in and think about me, you'll certainly laugh thinking about me, comparing to your (certainly much better) hotel.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The hotel was built in 1971 and renovated in 2016. Today it is decorated in a retro style, a combination of the old and the new. The grandeur of its former architecture is visible in the room sizes. In front of the hotel there is an outside swimming pool complex that received the European Blue Flag, an international stamp for ecological quality that the Education and Ecology Foundation (FEE) awards every year. The experience of a sunset viewed from the swimming pools, restaurant or café bar has a nostalgic note of the taste of the sea and the scent of Mediterranean plants. ... more   less
