“Stay in an oceanfront condo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2014

We loved our two bedroom oceanfront condo with loft. It had three bathrooms which were newly renovated. The lanai was roomy for watching gorgeous Kona sunsets and looking for dolphins and whales. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking our meals and morning coffee. Be sure to view photos of your unit as they will vary in decoration. Our unit was tastefully furnished. The ceiling fans kept the temps cool at night along with the ocean breeze while we fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the lava rocks below. I recommend an upper unit if possible for quietness. I would definitely stay here again. The pool was nice. There are BBQ grills in a pavilion near the tennis courts. These condos are gated for security. Nice location. Right across the road from Keauhou Shopping Center. Free parking. We had our own parking spot.

We returned to this lovely townhouse with its fabulous oceanfront lanai and view in March 2014. This beautifully-cared-for unit was perfect for us. Relaxing there, watching the ocean and folks who came to enjoy the nearby beach were just what we needed.

Several upgrades had occurred since our last visit -- remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, and new tile flooring throughout the main floor. We enjoyed the changes that made everything even more pleasant than our last visit (and that is saying something!)

The touches of the artist owner were evident in the handcut decorative tiles, the reconfigured kitchen and upstairs bath, and in the furnishings and artwork throughout the unit.

Everything was clean and comfortable for our stay, and being able to cook some of our meals was welcome. It was easy, too, because of the well-equipped kitchen.

We love the convenient location. The townhouse is close to a snorkel beach in one direction (north on Ali'i Drive) and to a great little shopping center in the other. Within moments, we could be on the Queen's Highway and off to visiting nearby villages and sight-seeing.

Already, we are looking forward to our next visit and pampering ourselves in Unit #197 at the Kona Surf and Raquet Club. From what we've seen and experienced, this unit is unique. We loved it!

Awesome accomodations at townhouse 177. Townhouse was very well equipped and clean. We enjoyed our meals on the lanai while surf & whale watching. The grounds of Keauhou Surf & Racquet are very well maintained & lovely. The location was perfect for our activities & within walking distance for many of them. We appreciated the welcoming gift basket with all it's goodies. We are already planning our visit here for next year.

We arrived at the condo late in the evening on our first day after a very long flight from Alberta, Canada. We just wanted to bring in our luggage and relax. It was dark outside when we arrived, so we couldn't get a good feel for the place that was going to be our home for the next two weeks. While my wife was looking for the security code to enter into the automatic controller, I could see the well lit grounds had a beautiful tennis court, swimming pool and what looked to be a very well cared for area. From the instructions that were given to us by the owner, we were easily able to find our parking stall and the key to get into our condo.
On first entry into the condo, the first thing that we noticed was how much space our new place actually had. Kitchen was spacious, well lit with lots of cupboard space. Counter top was granite and the appliances were all newer stainless steel. The rest of the unit was clean with good quality furniture. There was a large bedroom on the main floor with a queen size bed that my oldest daughter used. A large loft with another queen bed was the space my youngest girl claimed for herself. The master bed room was very large with sliding doors that lead out on a very large lani. A second set of sliding doors lead out onto the lani from the main living area. This provided a great view from the living room area when the sun came up the following morning. And what a view it was! A lava rock coast line traced itself up and down the complex while getting constantly battered by the ocean provided a very relaxing treat for all the senses. Beautiful place to enjoy that morning cup of coffee. The sunset in the evening from the same vantage point was amazing and one of my personal highlights of our trip.
A stroll around the grounds revealed well kept beautiful lawns accented with lava rocks, large trees and shrubs. Tennis courts and a swimming pool provided much activities for all of us during our stay. To top it all off, a walk to the back of the complex put you that much nearer to that ocean experience that we had from our lani.
Negative things were hard to find during our stay and the only things that came to mind was the screen doors were not fitting properly and came off the track a couple of times. Also, the hallway door was jamming a little.
All in all, this was a beautiful condo. Wonderful area and a great place to call home for our stay on the big island.

Great location and well maintained grounds/property. Ocean front townhome with pounding surf kept us entertained. Nearby beaches perfect for snorkeling and turtle watching. Farmers' markets at the nearby shopping mall provided great eats.

We had a great stay at Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet club. Our condominium was perfect, and the club grounds were filled with beautiful trees, flowers, and birds. Besides playing tennis, swimming at the pool, and wandering on the beach where we found a turtle sunning himself, we grilled several meals at the club grill. We were minutes away from a grocery and great restaurants, so that we could cook in, or eat out. After a great day on the island, it was a pleasure coming back to this paradise to relax and enjoy the setting sun over the ocean.

Room Tip: It was great being on the second floor for the view and the breeze, and to have a conominium facing...

We had a very nice stay in a ground floor 2bdr, 2bath unit at the Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet club resort. Great location near shopping and restaurants. Close walk to a nice snorkeling beach. The condo was clean and well appointed. It had all the important amenities and a well appointed kitchen. We were very comfortable and pleased with the condo. It was easy to access, the reservation process was easy.
