Located between the airport and Kona Town, the harbor is a neat place to just stroll down the docks and look at the beautiful watercraft. You may catch an occasional glimpse of a turtle leisurely swimming under the boats. If you ever consider moving to the Big Island the activities around the harbor will convince you that you will have to have a boat so that you may enjoy the beautiful ocean just beyond the breakwater. Many of the fishing boats are available for charter to take you out for anything from pan-sized fish to the Marlin that Kona is famous for. There are popular restaurants at the harbor where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or a complete meal. Take the time to see the harbor on your visit.

Great views. Just went to see the views and what was available. Although we didn't participate in their activities, it seemed to be a viable location of interest.

Loved this spot. Hubby went down to the marina and walked to the beach and did some flyfishing almost daily. I came along and hung out for sunset. Absolutely beautiful spot. Loads of turtles. Great stretch of beach to watch sunset. There were some locals fishing and a few tourists, but nice and mellow. Make sure you buy fresh fish at 'Bite Me' which is the fish store right at the marina. The guys are great and there is fresh catch daily ! We picked up some fresh Mahi Mahi and Ono and hubby cooked it up on the grill. There is a great little restaurant inside too! This spot is a nice little treasure !

One of our favorite stops for drinks and sandwiches after a round of golf. Love watching the boats come into harbor with their catch of the day. Friendly fast service, very comfortable relaxing outdoor atmosphere.

I like the fact that there was plenty of parking, a great source of fresh caught fish, an easily accessible restroom . . . and our scuba diving boat docked there! The bay itself has good diving!
