We went on the moonlight manta tour. We're unlucky and didn't see any mantas. True to their guarantee they let us go on another tour. We had to go the next morning because we were leaving so did the spinner dolphin tour. Was great. We saw and swam with hundreds and they found us a manta to see also because they felt badly for us not seeing the night before.
Two things could have been better..
First, they should put the boat in the water before guests arrive. We waited 25 minutes after we checked in early a.m. While they put the boat in. Seems like a waste of our time.
Second, the reservation agent recommended the moonlight tour for a more intimate experience and it was that. But being low season there wasn't enough light because we were the only boat to attract mantas. The guides said to take the sunset one. Wish the reservation agent knew what she was talking about. Our aria lilt for listening to her.
All in all though, the guide was super knowledgeable. He previously worked in marine research on sharks so was not some college kid on a year off. He was friendly, fun, and taught us a lot.
Would recommend Neptune Charlie's.
