“For oyster lovers”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013

If you love oysters and seafood, this is the place. Located in the harbour of Mali Ston you will find this small hotell and restaurant. You can park your car right outside the place. The hotell is nice and clean, with a nice atmosphere. The rooms are quite small, but nice. You can take a swim in the harbour just 100 meters from the hotel, the water is clear and warmer than normal for Croatia. There are other restaurants in the village, and the oysters are conciderd the best in Croatia ( the world if you listen to the people in Mali Ston). I have eaten oysters at many places around the globe, but I must say that these are something extra.

Room Tip: Free parking avalible

We had a nice at Vila Koruna on our way from Korcula to Dubrovnik. It is actually situated at Mali Ston, a tiny village next to Ston. We had a room for four persons. Window was small, but otherwise the room was comfortable and clean. Very effective a/c, too.
May be depending on season, but our dinner was superb. Mussels, oysters and squid both fresh and tasty. Breakfast very basic, but comes with local fresh fruit, though. Nothing to complain about personnel either.

Our tiny room was very dusty, 3 of the 6 lights did not work, the mini fridge had 3 bottles inside and was quite cruddy, the room was small, the shower decrepit --- and in all of the hotels we stayed in while traveling Croatia for 10 days, this one was by far the most expensive - double what we paid for a nice studio in Dubrovnik, so hugely over-priced! Breakfast was included but on the dismal side. Some of the staff were helpful, but one woman was a bit nasty.

Room Tip: Look for another location; this place focuses on their restaurant that brings in tour buses full of...

We stayed in this hotel as a stopping point on a long drive and were happy to find friendly service, good food and a beautiful scenery all under one roof in a quiet town. The hotel itself has lots of artwork and a warm feeling, but I agree that the interiors need refurbishing and the rooms need a deep cleaning- mold in the shower, build up under the drain covers, etc. That being said, the towels and bedding were clean, the air conditioning worked well and overall we were happy and comfortable with our stay. The quadruple room was large and open, although we had just one small window above our view. Breakfast was simple but good including coffee, juice, fresh bread, and ham and cheese slices.

We book the hotel thru booking.com at 92 euros/day with breakfast. All rooms are in the 2nd floor and no elevator, so one has to bring up his/her own luggages without any help from the hotel personnels. The wardrobe was dusty. The food was horrible and we had stomach problem after dinner. Unfortunately, we stayed there for 3 nights without to complain, we're just too tired to bring up and down our luggages.
The view from the restaurant is beautiful. The town is worth seeing and the penninsula is wonderful and amazing.I will not recommend this hotel to friends and others. Around the area there are better ones and less expensive with even better view from the restaurant and room/s.
I had an impression that the hotel is semi
abandoned.

Well as I say it's another "has been" restaurant. This restaurant certainly has been glorious but it was a long time ago. The mussels and oysters were very good and cheap or try some fresh fish but forget the frozen scampi. Next time I will try another restaurant in the village.

We booked hotel due to recommendation in Lonely Planet, however, wished we had booked the more expensive hotel around the corner. The room had a limited view of the sea, although the room was perfectly fine and comfortable, it seemed rather faded from its former glory and shower did not drain very well – but I suppose this helped the hotel minimise the amount of time you spent in there!

We made the mistake of having dinner in the hotel – we really, really should have gone to one of the seafood restaurants around the corner from the hotel. We were extremely disappointed, my main had been pre-frozen and the hotel had a rather large coach party in, so service slow. The restaurant is more suited to catering for large coach parties, where everyone has the same (we noticed they were having battered fish, chips and pea – which is a crying shame in the Croatian Seafood Capital), the three restaurants around the corner all had the most amazing fresh fish and shellfish platters.

The meal was the worst we had in Croatia and one of the most expensive – very disappointed by the restaurant..
